Growing up... Sega WAS Sonic and vice-versa to me. Sometimes being multiplatform does "take away" from the experience a bit imo (especially nowadays when everything is just done for "how to maximize profits")
Seems like they had fair gripes with the game, but also reads a bit like they just had VASTLY different expectations then I would put on this title.
I didn't care much for the first game, but I wouldn't go into this entry expecting masterful storytelling and compelling plot... I figured it was just a mindless Zombie action game
Ugh. "Live Service Games" just suck. So amazingly anti-consumer. I hope they get back to their roots and can actually deliver some solid single player/offline work too

The lack of a single player shouldn’t be an issue if the multiplayer depth was strong enough to stand on its own and that’s my concern with this game.
Lack of maps, lack of modes… I wanted to be interested in a new AAA shooter at some point, but this game just sounds like a waste of money until they add more to it
