Completely agree with the sentiment, so I decided to Google it. I actually thought it was still basically the 2014/2015 instance of the build. It’s come along way and actually looks totally fine
How is this game so popular? The graphics alone turned me off from ever looking into it
^^ I think paying for cosmetics is stupid period, but isn't this very common practice for a bunch of these types of games? In typical N4G, this is just another post of "ILL NEVER PLAY THIS GAME" keyboard brigading, but i was genuinely curious if Overwatch was that different from other titles?
I personally dont care/dont play Overwatch but do find the anger over paid cosmetics funny.
Is this worse than simply locking it behind a microtransaction completely? I feel like the "5 years" is the triggering aspect here, but I feel like a TON of games lock cosmetic shit behind a microtransaction and that is the only way to get it?
will need to see it in motion. I applaud them for trying something different, but I kindof dislike the blend of art styles from the still shots
Spot on take and I completely agree with the author. TLOU cash grab really rubbed me the wrong way.
So many Sony classics left behind to keep re-releasing the same game.
I think the 13M must reflect unique player logins since launch. Not "actively playing" which the Steam metrics represent. I think the author of the article made a mistake, even the wording Bethesda used didn't mention "active" as far as I can tell
How are people still supporting this game?
Im avoiding that scam purely on principle, don't care how "fun" the actual game may be/or ever turn out to be.
^^You can't serious. Its clear the author was simply remarking that the new FLESH engine looked really great. Hes not attacking or diminishing any other games that came out this year.
Man the MS/Sony Defense Force (...and I suppose the one Switch OLED guy) in this thread is painful. The author was simply trying to compliment the graphics, not say "it looks better than Horizon, or anything else"
Pretty clearly stated "one of the best looking games" and made 0 comparisons to any other games directly
Max level in a few hours? Man I’m glad I quit Wow before they turned it into whatever this is
I’m glad they are staying true to their roots, even if it means likely being too difficult to play for some (me included). I love Souls games and wanted to enjoy Nioh 1, 2 more but they were just too damn hard for me lol
7/10 sounds like a fair assessment of value to me if you:
Spent $60 on the original
Spent $60 on the HD remaster
Spent $70 on the Remake
At the end of the day, its up to the buyer to assess if that $190 total is worth the upgraded visuals or not. I am excited to play the game, but also refuse to pay the $70 price tag for it since I already beat the last 2 versions.
Dumbass Crypto-miners ~ "Hold my juicebox"
I look forward to giving it a shot once it comes down in price. I’m sure I’ll have fun, but from the video reviews - it looks like a LOT of the negative press was definitely warranted
Not Boxes - but Loot Balloons!
Y’all are drinking the coolaid big time. Yes it’s an improvement, but it’s not like it’s going to drastically improve the game experience over an already very pretty game in 4K on PS4 Pro
I feel like it’s ok to be excited about this game without calling it a “Massive Upgrade”. I’ll gladly grab it for like $20 to replay it some day, but having recently played the PS4 Pro version, it’s VERY similar from everything they have teased
Oh man, buying videogame magazines that had demo disks bundled in them.... so good
