"You cannot fight new wars, with old weapons."
Why don't YOU think for moment there buddy. That guy who's been showing the native resolutions of certain games ACTUALLY had the game. Did you not notice that these analyzing articles were based from either having an early copy of the game or a demo?
This dude has been right in the past maybe, but now I think he's taking it too far by looking at an unapproved video captured from another site that's ACTUALLY in a low resolution. Besides, when this guy does this analysis, he usuall...
This is sad, really sad, is this what fanboys have come to nowadays? They must lack ability to think. When I saw the article on AW running at 576p, I called BS on it. The guy even tried to make an excuse saying that the video capture didn't have an impact on the resolution. Seriously, go find a game on youtube that's blurry as hell and is available in 720p, then come back and tell me you know its native resolution.
When I watched the first 10, second 10 minute videos, I could tel...
UC1 started development in 2005 and UC2 is the same bloody engine. ND had two years after UC1 to really improve on the engine. Oh yeah, plus they have over 100 employees and Sony's massive funding.
Alan Wake? Approx. 40-50 employees and their financial backing from MS is not as big as Sony. So instead of being an idiot, give credit where credit is due. Alan Wake looks amazing on top of that.
I think that Alan Wake is up there with those 5 PS3 games the PS3 fanboys keep mentioning. IMO, they're all equal. No, it doesn't blow any of those games out of the water but it sure showed that the 360 is capable of giving amazing graphics.
The reason Alan Wake seems to be wowing many people is because it has amazing graphics in a completely different setting. You have to ask yourself, why did GOW3 look amazing? It's because there are tons of details poured into making Olympus. ...
"Wow. Thanks for this. I was pretty impressed by the Halo Reach screens, but when placed side-by-side to KZ2, Reach gets rolled."
What are you smoking?
Rofl at Reach gets rolled, yeah maybe in the alpha screenshot. However, now that I look at the Beta shot, it actually looks extremely close to the KZ2 gun. (KZ2 gun has a very slight edge)
I hate how this site is my number 1 place for gaming news because there's nothing else like it. I'm getting sick and tired of seeing blown out of proportion titles that just draw in hate from both sides.
What also annoys me about this site is that in every article, more than half the comments consist of dumb fanboys that just want to hate for some stupid reason, never read articles and just plain troll for kicks. It's really sad and pathetic.
Even though there were m...
At least Dragon Age's controls weren't the same as the consoles.
I'm going to have to go ahead and say Modern Warfare 2. I started playing the campaign and intended to finish it. However, with other games distracting me, I couldn't bring myself to finish that POS, I mean it's always the same damn thing. You always have to rush to the next objective because there's always a never ending wave of enemies. That scripted BS took my interest off real fast and I didn't care to finish it.
I've played its MP for maybe 2 weeks and I returned it, IW real...
Honestly though, Ubisoft have been making games with great concepts, but there always seems to be something missing. Assassin's Creed for example, it was a cool concept, but it ended up being repetitive and the story was weird.
Same for this, it seems that the gameplay is rock solid and the story sounds decent. 5 hours though? Come on, do a little better than that, well at least there's deniable ops to play.
However IIRC, I beat Uncharted 2 in 6 - 7 hours and I paid ...
Had a higher failure rate than Xbox, had to buy memory cards etc... However, I still loved it simply because of the games. Did I use the PS2's problems as ammo to defend the Xbox? Hell no, I played the sh!t out of both of those consoles and enjoyed every minute of it.
Same goes for the Xbox 360 and PS3, except now we have sites like this. All I want is to see is articles ABOUT actual games and consoles, but instead we have these retarded Doom and Gloom articles, multiplat compari...
"I must voice my concern of its “consolization”. As most of you are aware, the game will take place in New York City, so that may mean more indoor game-play and less vegetation which in turn means less of a performance impact."
And YOU should be aware that Crytek is developing this game on the 3 platforms SEPARATELY.
I guess this guy didn't watch the Cryengine 3 tech demo where and it clearly shows that PC will be ahead of the crowd by having more features....
That explains it, thx man. I live in Canada too, I usually go to NCIX to order my stuff, very good site IMO.
Where do you live? In the States (In Canada it's more expensive)? I'm in the middle of building a new setup but I can't see how you got 2 HD5850s and a $400 motherboard and manage your setup for $1800.
I only have one of those cards and my mobo is a Giga. X58A-UD3R, my setup is around $1700 without the tax and shipping.
What's also included in the price is Windows 7 and a new Monitor.
These type of headlines are really starting to piss me off! It's these journalists that are giving Xbox devs a very bad name and I seriously hate it when they blow things out of proportion to fuel the flames and get hits on their site.
It seems like these journalists look for interviews and as soon as they see something like "visually uneven", they jump from their seat in excitement, start yelling out loud and fly like superman around the room. Then they're like "a...
When an article comes up saying that Microsoft banned modder/hackers so that they can't use an Xbox anymore, PS3 fanboys think it's some conspiracy theory that MS is doing that so they get more Xbox sales. MS is just trying make these modders/hackers pay the price and that's a good thing, but these fanboys simply don't give a crap about and it's easier for them to poke fun at the xbox (haha! easily hackable!).
Then when a hacker gets through the PS3, all of sudden hackers are p...
In terms of price, The 5850 is still the way to go if you're on a budget. So far, ATI has been making great cards lately, and apparently cool ones on top of that.
Wouldn't the LGA1366 be actually worth it? Sure as you say, it'll probably be obsolete, but don't most LGA1366 motherboards have future support for the new 6 core processors (Intel i9)? Don't they also have USB 3.0?
Sure, games won't have support for 6 cores now, but what about maybe 3/4 years from now, your i7 is starting to show performance issues. Couldn't you just solve the issue by upgrading to a faster processor and a video card? Maybe by then you'll just have to spend $30...
Because he's excited of what's coming?
Oh wait, he mentioned Microsoft that's why lol.
I think the crysis 2 shot looks slightly more detailed than the first one, the difference however is that Crysis 2 has far better facial animation. You can definitely see that the C2 face seems more realistic and the C1 shot looks more plain.
