Lmao. Oh my shit. Bethesda...
We know Microsoft can make a powerful console. Sony can too. The next Xbox will only be huge if they step up their library. Even then, I don't think they can beat Sony, despite having more resources than Sony.
PlayStation is just too well entrenched to simply be dug out, and replaced by Xbox as the leader. Sony's biggest advantage is that it's such a storied brand, with so many great exclusives, dating back to 1994. It's more universally recognized, and it...
And very likely near the end of PS5's life cycle.
The reason this is unlikely is due to the fact that they've been building this game, from the ground up, to accommodate the first person perspective exclusively, SINCE THE BEGINNING.
Shoehorning (forcing) in a third person perspective, at this point, literally wouldn't be feasible. If they tried, the results would be horrible, and people playing in third person would just sound off about how terrible it is. It would also completely upend ALL their work, and they wou...
I think the thumbnail is perfect, not because it represents Fallout, but because it reminds me of a guy squinting in disappointment. It's absolutely perfect, given the disappointment that is this game.
It's perfect that you can take the image of the battle worn power armor helmet, that is also meant to convey strife and hardship, and completely repurpose it as a conveyance of how disappointed we all are.
Todd and Co didn't even try. They took Fallout 4's blueprint, scribbled on it with a dull crayon, and turned in this piece of banal, brainless shit.
Sony is now in full PS5 mode, which is absolutely fine with me. Looking forward to TLoUII as a nice closer to a pretty damn good gen. It's fitting TLoUII release at the end of this gen, as the first released at the end of the previous gen. Maybe TLoUIII will release at the end of the next.
I love single-player, story-driven games. TLOU is a great example.
Witcher 3 is a game I dismissed when I first purchased it, because I didn't think I could get into it. I gave it a second chance and kept playing, and boy was I wrong. I thought to myself "Okay, NOW I understand!" I encourage you to keep at it. Maybe it'll click.
Best RPG I've ever played.
I have a love-hate relationship with the game, which I had to restart, TWICE, due to game breaking bugs. Then there's the gun-play which is just awful, especially on main story missions.
Simple things like running up to a rock, getting into cover and shooting over it can be a real pain in the ass. Sometime's Arthur just sits there and does nothing until he eventually pops up and fires at your target after the fifth try.
There's also too much ...
I'm all for people enjoying what they will. Still, that's a bit sad.
It's probably do to the sheer, unmitigated, unbridled pole-riding they're doing over Sony's success. Congratulations for milestones are normal, but gushing over monthly sales with that much enthusiasm is a bit silly, not to mention strange.
Coming off the heels of the shitheap that was Mass Effect Andromeda, we have this... thing. I have no idea what to make of this... thing. I only know that I'm ultra-skeptical and fairly indifferent regarding its existence.
This is actually my first time seeing Eurogamer's "AVOID" stamp. I've seen "Recommended" and Essential" but never this. I'm enjoying the roasting this game is getting, because it seems like most outlets are holding the developers accountable, with little to no apology, and that's exactly how it should be.
Really interested in how IGN are going to handle this one. They have a tendency to give passes (not always but often enough) and I...
Fortnite....... hmm. Alright then......
WHAT?
Time to step into that rusty ol' shed, clean off the cobwebs, sweep up the mouse turds, and get the game to a functional state.
I didn't buy this disaster but I'm just as angry as someone who actually did.
We went from the brilliance of Fallout 3 (who could forget that incredible intro https://www.youtube.com/wat... to something so soulless and pitiful.
I'm going to be watching the development of these new games as closely as humanity allows me to, and if I get a whiff of bullshit, I'm not buying. Todd and Co can either learn from this or dig the hole deeper.
This thing is giving me massive reservations about ES6 and Starfield, especially knowing now that they're using the dreaded 'Creation Engine' for both upcoming games, apparently.
Todd and Co have really screwed the pooch with this microtansaction laden bugfest. My anticipation and excitement for ES6 and Starfield has been replaced by suspicion and skepticism.
Oh, come the fuck on.
Todd, you fucked up. Seriously, standing on that E3 stage, acting as if your product was great. It's way below average. People don't trust you anymore, or anyone on your lousy team.
Get it together.
