I'm well aware of the Sony lean on this site, but this comment is a load of bull. People are lamenting this game all over the internet for many of the reasons people have given here. It's not as universally adored as some think.
People all over have grievances, from the clunkiness, to the boring gunplay, to the long-ass horse rides.
Actually, she's right on the money.
What really gets me is the way Arthur is written.
For about five or more straight missions, Arthur laments Dutch's decision making. He tells fellow gang members that Dutch is losing it, and that he disapproves of the path he's on. Rebuke after rebuke of Dutch by Arthur. In the end, he just goes with it. It makes no sense at all. Principled Arthur turns to pussy-assed Arthur on a dime!
This kind of nonsense goes on throughout the entire game, thoug...
Yeah, that's probably the most intriguing prospect from Microsoft's studios.
Agreed. I asked that of myself a lot while playing. Ultimately I decided that the game play was pretty boring and kind of, well, bad. Pop, shoot, pop, shoot, pop, shoot. Loot this, loot that, loot this, loot that. After three hours you may feel dazed, unaccomplished, and unfulfilled. I know I felt this way.
I appreciate this more as art, and less as a video game. It's drag. It's drudge. It's like walking through sludge. I completed Arthur's story, and I'...
First, lay off the Fox News phraseology. Secondly, people are praising GamePass because they believe it's a sound gaming investment and service. I'm sure you'd have no problem with N4G approving articles that focused on something you yourself found worthwhile, so don't throw shade on what others are enjoying.
Nobody ever expected that, but people expect a little extra when it comes to major first party titles. So far, imo, it doesn't have the visual panache one would expect of a game like this. When you put up against Sony's first party titles, it looks rather bland. Everything should look better, imo, from particle effects to the city itself. It's decidedly plain and under-detailed.
No matter what you argue, it simply looks under par, visually.
Seeing as I have GP, I'm definitely going to give it a try. I'm not expecting anything great though. It looks a little horrid from what I've seen.
They're always bad. I just make my own.
This looks better than most (if not all) themed Pro consoles. It doesn't pop too much, and that's why I like it. It's minimal yet ornate. The only downside is the KH logo at the bottom, lol.
Just buy the Charge & Play Kit. Problem solved. People who moan about peripheral expenses shouldn't be gaming either. It's not a poor man's hobby.
All physical copies of this garbage belong in a literal fire. Basically anyone who supports this game should be chemically castrated.
There's definitely some quality aspects here, but the game can be overwhelmingly tedious. There's way too much rinsey-repeatey shit. Once the novelty of combat and abilities wears off, you're left with pure, sheer, unmitigated, endless GRIND. The monotony is astounding, really.
That said, it can still be fun, but it can burn you out quickly and easily.
That's some heavily ironic, hypocritical nonsense.
Bloodborne and Witcher 3 are my current 'games of gen.'
Let's clear this up - this whole 'Sony loves me' nonsense position that you've subscribed to. If you really believe that, then you're extraordinarily naive. Sony cares as much about you as Microsoft cares about me. In other words, Sony doesn't give a tuppenny fuck about you. You're just a consumer filling their coffers.
Now, you could certainly argue that Sony's studios care about you, as they put extraordinary amounts of effort into their pr...
If this were a PlayStation game it'd be lauded to high heaven here. This game is difficult and challenging, and it has its own charm. If you've got GamePass and enjoy Souls-type games, this is definitely worth checking out.
Really looking forward to Below. So far, Ashen has been fantastic. So glad I picked up GamePass.
Great game so far, and I think I'm pretty far in.
Technical issues. Damn.
