I really don't care about cross-play, though it would be a good thing. What I'm most concerned about is backward compatibility. The PS5 needs it.

Not quite. The visuals, atmosphere and some of the writing were done really well, but the moment to moment game play was something of a letdown.
That's the best word to describe the game play. Totally archaic. From mission design to shooting. It's all outdated, clunky, and frustrating.
I can understand it. Spider-Man and other superheroes have huge cult followings. Spider-Man no doubt moved PS4 units. Spider-Man fans would buy a Pro just for this game, even if they don't really like video games.

They really did. I've been enjoying the hell out of it on GP. I'm usually not a fan of racers and don't stick with them for long, but I can lose myself in this game for hours.
