Nice.
Stapleton is the guy who couldn't play Bloodborne because he was tripped up by gates and levers. He also can't play anything unless it's on PC.
Only $59.99 for our Respawn Pack! To be used at any time during game play. Limited to one respawn per game session. In the event said session disconnects, your respawn privilege is used and cannot be used again. Limited time only!
I have GP, and am going to play Crackdown 3, but that's only after I get 100% completion in Metro Exodus.
Still glad I didn't buy the game, even though an N4G mod deleted my previous post stating just that.
I think I actually have to agree, and I've bought my share of overhyped games.
I don't think Ubisoft is competing with Rockstar. Rockstar builds their games their way, and Ubisoft builds their games their way. Two different design philosophies basically. It's also annual and biannual vs an almost decade of development time for Rockstar.
They're not thinking "Oh man, how can we compete with Red Dead 2!?" I'm sorry, but they're just not.
Agreed on all points. I also agree with what you wrote earlier about the games systems reacting randomly to what you do. I wrote something very similar a few months back. Looting a 'stranger' is bad... sometimes. Killing a search party of bounty hunters that are chasing you is ok... sometimes.
Onto the bad guy play style.
Unfortunately, being 'bad' goes against what I'm assuming Rockstar wants to be canon. This is supposed to be a &q...
Are they asking what we want in a new console? If they are, that's very cool. Feature-wise there's a fair bit to ask for. I'll let the devs take care of the specs and configuration, but it would be cool if they asked us what we wanted feature-wise.
I'm glad to be on the 'Never bought the game' list.
This is one of the best CoDs ever made. Both single and MP were fantastic.
And to add to the frustration of going through all the dialogue (again) it pulls you out of the immersion it wants you to experience. How can I be immersed if you keep pulling me out of the story? I always felt under pressure for all the wrong reasons in these missions, and it really hurt the experience for me.
Don't drive that cart too fast (we want you to drive it slow so you take in the sights and pay attention to dialogue) or it may get stuck on fencing. It was a to...
That happened to me on a different mission and the fail text literally read "The cart got stuck." I was literally in the process of getting the damn thing unstuck.
Or I would fail because I would take too long looting. The game's single player missions simply aren't designed with player freedom in mind. They force you onto a very linear path where you're punished if you move ahead of the exposition, and punished if you take your time. This makes it hard for many players to enjoy the story missions. The writing and scripting force the player to keep in timing with it, because if it didn't force the player to do that, it wouldn't flow ...
Tell em, Naughty Dog. Tell em why it sucks.
Nintendo never quite dominates. I don't think they've dominated for a long time. Always so much hyperbole when it comes to Nintendo.
Fallout 3 was superb. Fallout 4 was OK.
Bloodborne was a special game for a few reasons. One being that is was the first Souls game to essentially buck the traditional DS experience by means of lore, combat, healing, and visuals. Bloodborne's story was completely detached from the Souls universe (even if the Souls games) aren't really connected to each other in story.
The bosses were kicked up a notch in terms of behavior, cloth and hair physics, etc. Yarnham was an incredibly detailed gothic Disney-land ...
Agreed. It's why I haven't touched a Nintendo product (not even a kiosk demo machine) since GameCube. Nintendo seems to think that Mario is still alive, but he's not. He's dead because Nintendo has beaten him to a pulp. Mario has long overstayed his welcome. Yes, he's a charming, feel good character that Nintendo want all generations to experience, but by forcing Mario games year after year, decade after decade, they're only serving to destroy his legend. Nintendo is s...
This game does look better every time I see it. I'm hopeful.
