"Cross-play is the absolute thing people want"
I don't think about it at all. I just want good games and better performance.
I'm actually a little proud of everyone who saw this garbage for what it was. Cheers.
Exactly. I'm surprised (but not surprised since this is N4G) that more people are saying Crackdown 3.
I don't know about everyone else, but to me, Anthem's debut trailer looked pretty damn sweet at that Xbox E3 show. Crackdown 3 NEVER looked appealing to me. It ALWAYS looked bad, and that cloud stuff NEVER excited me.
I think the Sony camp is still on the toilet over Crackdown 3's failure. Dumping on the game is apparently still fun.
It also depends on who you ask.
Anthem, by far. Anthem had promise in the beginning, but the more we were drip-fed, the more we disliked it. Crackdown 3 always looked bad, and nobody ever had any hopes for it.
So long, Bioware.
I think Sony's doing reasonably well with VR, however, that doesn't mean that Microsoft is prepared for VR. Microsoft first needs to get a strong first party stable and just release some damn good games. That's what matters.
Microsoft had this lofty, silly goal of 'owning your living room' instead of a focus on a diverse lineup of quality games and they really didn't do much all gen.
Now, I think their ecosystem is good. I think ...
Who cares? If the game is underwhelming it's underwhelming at 4K too. If you want a great game at Native 4K, try Metro Exodus. It's a great game, it's incredibly detailed, and it's got that shiny 4K coat.
That 4K coat doesn't matter if the game is no good.
Agreed. Gonna jump back in after Exodus.
Had to set this aside for Metro Exodus. Game is gorgeous on the X. 4A did a fantastic job.
"They will be doomed"
Lol.
I was laughing as I typed that. I'm far from upset. Anyway, I thought you shared my position. I'm pretty confused now.
I've been contemplating a Spider-Man purchase. Think I may go for it soon. I'm in the Detroit burbs and have no interest in Detroit... unless someone can convince me I don't have to do dumb things with the thumbsticks like most QD games.
I'm guessing you need a mini map filled with icons to chase.
Does this mean her breasts are exposed? Oh my GOD, I have to download this right away.
Women in congress. The first black cop in a random county of Montana. The first gay mayor to be elected in an odd numbered year. It gets sillier by the minute.
It makes sense to me. I do find that the quieter a developer is at this stage, the better the game tends to be. I expect CDPR to market much more heavily toward the end of development.
That said, it's refreshing to know that CDPR isn't adhering to convention in many ways. I believe there will be no MTs and that DLC will be free. Maybe they're tooting their horn. I don't know. Still, it's good to know these things.
Anyone who complains about stiff controls in a Metro game is probably incapable of appreciating something that isn't light and twitchy.
This game isn't that. It's a narrative-driven, atmospheric, heavy-feeling shooter. That's what this game is. The controls aren't cumbersome at all. It's not for everyone and that's fine, but this idea that shooters can only be good if they're light-feeling is narrow-minded and sad. I've never played a Me...
...lol.
You shouldn't get Anthem. Ever.
