The only concern ive got with Rising is how they integrate stealth. I mean in MGS4 Raiden as a cyborg is pretty much untouchable - he was swinging Gekko on his legs for fun and even stopped a ship crushing Snake.
I dont see why he even try to avoid confrontation when he could take out an entire army.
Since this game takes place between 2 and 4 it's not surprising that many characters wont be returning since at the end of 2 Snake and Otacon split up from Raiden...

I dont think Crysis 2 is coming out in 2012; im pretty sure it's
q1 2011, which is EA's FY q4.
It could be RD "Redemption 2" if they continue with Marston's story but im not sure if there's anything left to tell of his story since i've yet to finish the game.
Otherwise they'll go like GTA and have a new storyline for each game; i think something like RD "Revolution" or similar to that title.
instead of bringing out bigger HDDs I thought Sony would put in a smaller HDD like 20-40gb and sell it at a low price to compete with the Arcade S.
Since R*N are based in Edinburgh im surprised they havent visited a Scottish city like Glasgow. I live in Scotland and would love to see a game set over here.
The problem with settings outside the US is firearms laws - it wouldnt be realistic for players (including the police) to run around with guns in European cities.
The Getaway 3 for me. If sony looks at the success of open world titles like GTA and Red Dead and the anticipation behind Mafia 2, the Getaway could be huge. They just need to look at what makes those titles great and copy them. Imagine GTA but in real life London!
I only play MW2 t hunt for boosters - its funny when u piss them off, they send u hate mail and shout over the mic. Barebones didnt fix it either - i find more boosters in that game than regular FFA.
The data is simply too large for DD. I live in the countryside in the UK and my speed is shocking - it took around 3hrs to download the MW2 stimulus maps. If that was MGS4 it would take a few weeks.
Also any company that goes full DD risks losing the deveoping countries' markets. I come from the Indian subcontinent and broadband is just catching on but with very low speeds - the infrastrucure is too poor.

that's a sh*t load of sales. How much did MW2 sell within 24hrs? the only titles that could compete with this are Black Ops, Reach and GT5 but i dont think any will tbh.
GT5 will be bought by almost every ps3 owner; me and all my friends are buying it...thats 2 guaranteed sales :). But seriously its good to see PC gaming alive and kicking.
The worst perk is easily Commando - its actual description should be "Invincible to bullets whilst knifing", i mean how often do i shoot some guy in the face with a shotgun but get stabbed by him coz the bullets go straight thru him!
Also stopping power is stupid since it effectively removes the need to look at the damage stats on the guns - SP basically makes them all the same.
Also they should remove: tactical insertions - are these ever used ...
I think the next GTA could be some way off - R* North are supposed to be working on Agent and we've heard nothing on this game. I'd think Sony would want their exclusive done before any multiplat project.
Move would work very well with a game like Bioshock 2 where u could use each Move to control the gun and plasmids - imagine how good a game could be if you could aim at two different enemies using each hand!
I think modern day Mexico should be where it's set - everything happening there makes it the perfect place to set a game which generally imitates what is actually happening in Mexico today.
For me it has to be MGS4 when u return to Shadow Moses and the music starts to play when u get to the helipad area.
Brought back a flood of memories from MGS1 when i was only 10 yrs old :)
i know its not really a cutscene but i think it should be considered one since nothing really happens at the time.
that's a good point- if nintendo come out with the 3ds soon priced around £150-£200 then MS would really have big problems

I really don't get the pricing here - why is Kinect almost the same price as the Arcade console? Also why does the new model only have 4gb, i mean how hard would it have been to put in a 20 or 40gb HDD? (srs question - i dont know)
Judging by these prices Sony will definitely want to release their own "Arcade" model- i can see a 40 or 60gb model like they...
Im pretty sure that ICO, SotC and TLG are a trilogy and the series finishes with TLG.
