These are probably reserved systems that people never picked up. It was over 6 months ago that the option to reserve them came and they may have forgotten they had the reservation. They probably are legally obligated to hold them for a certain number of days and then can sell them and refund the person their money.
Edit:
They opened up some on Amazon as well. So maybe they this is the weekly shipment.

No. They are saying it can be improved.
Let's look at this objectively ok? I'm not saying that the PS4 won't have apps, but that it (in all likelihood) will not have the depth or breadth of apps that MS will simply because it seems that the Xbox One will run modified Windows 8.x Apps. Sony doesn't have an ecosystem that easily ports apps from say mobile or desktop to the PS4 the way the Xbox One will have access to the Windows unified store. And I'm not a fanboy. I did say that I like that some things about the ...
This is why I'm really excited about the Xbox One. Now there could be a flood of really good apps that add features and capabilities that Microsoft didn't have to develop. For example there is no System Video player on the Xbox One, but if VLC comes to it, it should be able to not only play .wmv and .avi files, but should be able to play .mkv files and access shares on my computer. That is what I've been really waiting to have in my living room.
I like what I see wit...
What he is saying is that the PS4 is a niche product. It will probably be the best of this generation's gaming systems as far as HW will go, and maybe have some good software with great games, but its only really going to speak to gamers. The Xbox One on the other hand has the ability to reach not only the hard core gamers, but to reach the casual user, the fitness crowd, the TV audience, Telecommunications market with Skype, and potentially a much broader app market since it will in all...
PS4 will probably be in the lead for some time, but it will be interesting to see what affect on sales the cable and satellite industry will have when they start selling subsidized Xbox Ones next year. If they offer contract where you get a free or low cost Xbox One for say $99 - $199 on a two year contract, it could tip the scales in favor of Xbox One especially if they adopt it as a standard device to replace the DVR as the central device for the living room. Time will tell, but 2014 promis...
A vast majority of people are not having issues. Mine is fine. Maybe in a year he will get one, but he seems to be resistant to the changes they made. Everyone has their own taste and the bottom line is that it didn't fit his.
Voice can be faster than grabbing the remote and navigating a menu or guide when you're first rushing into catch the news or a sports match. All you have to do is say "Xbox On, Xbox Watch TV, Switch to {Channel}", all while you walk in the door, take off and hang up your coat, and get something to eat or drink. all without having to go to the living room to pick up the remote. Its not perfect, but I'd expect that as time goes on MS will make this better especially with the...
I agree with you somewhat. It sounds like she is in a relationship that isn't what she wants. They aren't right for one another. He has his interests. She has hers and if she wants a guy who has her interests she should find one that does and not try to change a guy to have the same interests as her or she can accept her partner for who he is and what his interests are, but it doesn't sound like she is willing to do that.
Just out of curiosity, how good is Samsung with keeping the apps up to date? One of the concerns I have is when Netflix, Hulu, Amazon, or some other service changes their system how long will it take for the app to be updated to have the service work or even take advantage of new features like profiles on Netflix.
The question is whether or not its to Samsung's, LG's, or Sony's advantage to go through the trouble of keeping older TVs up to date or not. Personally...
OK... clearly no one here has a clue what it is. I'll tell you what it probably will be. It is a lite version of the Xbox One that will play the apps and TV, but not have the GAMING side necessary to play titles like Forza, Rise, and Killer Instinct.
Why would they do this you ask? Its simple. MS is going to partner with cable and satellite to offer subsidized Xbox Ones for free to $149 on a 2 year subscription. The cable and satellite companies need something like this...
For me Xbox One. The interface, Skype, Kinect, and future potential of the console IMHO offers much more potential than the PS4. Everyone in my family is getting one not just to Skype together, but to play together. We are really looking forward to it.
The 500GB HD is not replaceable on the Xbox One, but they did say that they would allow external USB3 drives to be plugged in shortly after launch. That is something the PS4 can't do and haven't said would support in the future. While you can replace the PS4 500GB drive with up to a 1.2 - 2 TB internal drive, the 500 GB drive is now useless for that system.
Also the smaller 2.5 inch laptop drives are typically more expensive and slower than the typical 3 inch hard d...
OK... I've seen the Stop lying comment all over this site now, and while it was not asked thoroughly enough, I don't think it was a lie. I think they didn't have a CEC enabled TV at the time the Verge/Polygon did their testing and that's why they said it didn't work, because under their scenario, it didn't. The PS4 doesn't support IR Blasting while the XBox One did along with the CEC controls. So while it wasn't a lie, it wasn't the whole truth either.
Just like there are features not available on the PS4 at launch these minor inconveniences will come with an update. Its just the price of being an early adopter. All of these issues will be resolved on both consoles over time.
Ughhh.. These two weeks are leaving my wallet black and blue all over.
Sorry I couldn't resist.... :-D
I've been saying it was going to happen. When it does and you have cable and satellite companies around the world pushing the Xbox One, it will almost over night become the king in the living room.
I'd copy and paste my response to you, but I'm just going to say read my response to Jay2 at 7.1. Then you will understand why this makes sense. Granted it is speculation, but think about what's happened in the last several years.
1) Microsoft pilots a 2 year subscription service for an Xbox 360 which includes Xbox live for $99.
2) Microsoft sells its Mediaroom technology to I believe Ericsson. I suspect they did this to not be in direct competiti...
You don't understand the context her my friend. MS is going to partner with cable and Satellite companies to sell Xbox Ones for a subsidized price. Let's say $99 down on a 2 year contract. That's great for the living room, but what about all of those other TVs in the house? Do they need to also have fully game enabled Xbox Ones? No. For the kitchen/bedrooms you just want to watch TV and maybe do some light gaming with some of the apps. That's where this comes into play. They c...
@vigilante_man
I agree that he does state the obvious and logical in a number of his articles. There's some that he gets wrong as well. He's an analyst and as far as I'm concerned that's a tainted business.
As far as his prediction of the Xbox One's dominance... I think it will be up to the Cable and Satellite partnerships he says are coming. If the Xbox One becomes a standard device for every new let's say Dish Network, Comcast, or Time Warn...
