OK... So let's talk numbers. Let's use your minimum best case pricing. Say it costs £250 for the headset and a camera(~$416 as of today's currency exchange rate) for a complete setup with the camera. At that price you'd be lucky to see a 10% adoption rate. Sony may put out titles for it, but with only 600-700K people owning it and maybe selling to (let's again use best case scenario) say 30% of that 700K users or 210K units at say $60 for say $12.6M gross. That's ...

@Lukas_Japonicus

I'm hear you. I preordered mine, but in the past week I've had 3 friends who have bought Xbox Ones. Two of those friends were planning on buying it, but not until Halo 5. They decided to jump the gun because of Titanfall. The third already had a PS4 and originally didn't have any plans to buy one, but did because the reviews were generally positive and he came over and played on mine last week. So of the 3 only one was not planning on buying one. ...

A lot of my friends including me bought it digital, so those numbers wouldn't show up until Microsoft released official numbers. And if I recall correctly, all of the Titanfall bundles are digital. Going by retail sales is a lot less accurate way of gauging how well a game will do on the Xbox One as many like me are going all digital.

The Xbox One has far greater market reaching potential than the PS4 for a number of reasons, but for time sake I'm going to keep it short. Any one of these uses could push the Xbox One over the PS4 and have it outsell it.

First.... MS could/should partner with cable and satellite companies to sell subsidized Xbox Ones for say $99 down on a 2 year contract with free Xbox Live Gold and Halo 5 (I think we will see this happen in the fall). Why? Because everyone wins. The cab...

@mhunterjr I agree. This should have been included with the system video player, but MS won't support as many formats like mkv by default. The VLC app definitely will and while the Windows version will browse the network or let you add shares to look for specific content, I'm hoping the Windows Phone and Xbox One versions will as well the way my 360 can. Once MS adds USB mass storage it should allow for access directly, but I really want to access files on my NAS and server. My NAS i...

I'm kind of hoping that VLC will release a version that will address this once they get the Windows and Windows Phone versions completed which should be within the next few weeks.

To be honest, Titanfall is offering an enhanced CoD with new gameplay capabilities. What's new about the gameplay in Infamous? I just haven't seen anything remotely new about its gameplay. Sure the graphics are better, but its really nothing I haven't seen before.

I'll be the first to say that as of now Sony has the mindshare of the gaming community, but only of the gaming community. The Xbox One still has a much broader capability to reach beyond the gaming market. All it will take is one or two partnerships with a cable/satellite company in each country to offer subsidized Xbox ones for $99 down with a 2 year TV subscription and free Xbox Live with each new contract and they'd probably break even with PS4. Its just that the gaming market is r...

@N64Fan. There is a lot of potential for partnerships with different cable and satellite companies that just aren't there for the PS4 in part due to the HDMI input and the way MS architected the multitasking and One guide. The cable companies have tried everything under the sun to stop cord cutting and nothing has worked. They are still loosing hundreds of thousands of subscribers every quarter. The Xbox One is a perfect addition to that arsenal as a way of stopping this. MS is making co...

It could be a partnership with one or more cable companies offering subsidized Xbox Ones for $99 down on a 2 year contract with free Xbox Live for the 2 years starting on the fall with interactive TV an and a Titanfall series exclusively to Microsoft.

The primary things I am still missing is the ability to add an external hard drive and access videos from a network server of NAS. If the VLC client that is supposed to get ported to Windows Phone as well as the Windows Store gets an Xbox One client I may be fine with that, but to date there is no word on this.

None of them are remotely impressive.

I think would be interesting if Valve made a Steam App for PS4 and Xbox One that would allow you to access the remote play and other services. If the Steam boxes don't take off, it might be a viable option.

I think it sounds more like they are bringing in more media people and where he was once the primary person in charge of media, other people are now being given responsibilities he would like to be in charge of.

His statement “As the reorganization has unfolded, it has become clear to me that the organization is moving in a direction that does not fit either my expertise or skill sets,” sounds like he was being muscled out and decided to leave rather than being sidelined sin...

I think a large part of its incomplete and missing features is largely due to the redesign of the system they had to make due to policy changes. They literally had about 4- 5 months to make it work. I personally think that under the circumstances they did a decent job. I just wonder how it compares to the original planned one and what it would have looked like with those months of extra development time. We'll never know, but I too will look forward to the retrospective reflection of thi...

There are a few questions that need to be answered first about Playstation Now. There are far too many things that don't make sense about it. Don't get me wrong, I'm excited about it, but we clearly need to take a step back and ask the right questions.

They are at a huge convention. Internet access at Las Vegas should be heavily congested with tons of traffic, so either they established a VPN with their own dedicated trunk for the service to get the low latency, o...

I know what you mean. What I found was that I had to adjust the volume based on my room to the right level. Once I did that it worked near 90% of the time. I think with a bit of tweaking and tuning from MS (maybe with Cortana), it could be near 99%. We'll have to see.

Personally, I don't have a problem with mixing where you are today and where you are going with your games, but for those that aren't available today, they should have a watermark or something that says "Coming Soon", but all of the games I saw in the trailer are going to be on the platform from what I could tell.
