I think Ubisoft should have stuck with the PC with Farcry 2. BOTH console versions were a "farcry" from the quality of the PC version. AI and graphics both took a hit.
Unless games are made specifically for consoles these days(or even better exclusive) I think we're going to see more and more disparity in console vs PC graphics.
I hope it turns out great regardless.
I think its a no brainer for multi-console owners to get it on PS3. I know I will. Its almost sacrilegious to get FFXIII on 360.
I am embarrassed to say that I enjoyed the Super Mario Bros movie as a kid... Then again I was 8 at the time and was excited to be watching a PG (whoa!) movie :-p
I enjoyed Silent Hill. Looking forward to the sequel.
This is only a casual observation but I noticed many of the Black Friday dealbuster games are EA games. Brutal Legend, NFS: Shift, Dragon Age Origins and Left 4 Dead 2, seem to be discounted everywhere on Friday. Compare Target's ad to Best Buy's. They are kind of the same.
What is most curious to me is that EA would discount all of its brand new games. Good for gamers, and good for EA I suppose.
As an owner of both attachments I can say with confidence they are everything the review has described them to be.
The FPSfreek in particular has really helped up my game in first person shooters. The best way to describe the effect of the attachments is a big improvement in accuracy. Instead of auto aim doing most of the work, your able to line up the shots easier than before. The grip on the nub attachments is also very good. They should last a while. Best of all, you can use ...
For years I've wanted an iPhone but alas, it never came to Verizon... With that said, I'm glad I never got the Samsung Omnia for my upgrade last year. Instead I got the Blackberry Storm, which was buggy as all heck until the latest firmware upgrade. Looking forward to the Droid...or the iPhone depending on if it comes to the Big Red.
From my experiences with the Droid and iPhone, I see each as dominanting in the smartphone market for years. I'm curious to see what Windows Mobile...
Feature wise, yes, the PS3 browser provides a more complete Facebook experience. However...and lets take off the fanboy blinders...its slow as hell. The PS3 browser is many times worse than Internet Explorer and you want to use Facebook with it?
If you use Facebook "lite" on 360 you don't get a complete feature set, however its fast AND practical...which is why I will use it on 360 and forget PS3 ever had it.
Free speech is wonderful isn't it? It blows my m...
My guess is that Little Big Planet PSP comes out today. Thursday is when they release DLC, PSN games and what not, and the same usually holds true for PSP titles. Note, this is a casual observation. From personal experience I've been able to get the titles I wanted, when I wanted them. I can wait a couple days...
I don't think this is an example of Sony not supporting digital release and the Go but the simple business routine of releasing all digital content at once.
"Is The Facebook and Twitter Update Killing Xbox Live?"
More like: Are Stupid Anti-Xbox blogs killing N4G
Every blog story these days seems to have an anti-Xbox slant. Why are they "all" approved? This blog has no idea how many people are having Xbox Live issues.
If you use Facebook a lot and are interested in using it on consoles, don't hesitate to get a chat pad. Typing messages without one is painful. Even better: get a keyboard.
Personally, I don't use Facebook all that much so the XBL and PSN updates are really insignificant for me.
Apparently everyone already forgot about the Lens of Truth article from yesterday.
For a quick summary: Graphics of the PS3 and 360 version were on par. Screen tearing on the PS3 version were 3X worse than its counterpart. Also, the 360 version loaded faster even without an install like the PS3 version.
People can spin the graphics issue all they want, or they can be objective and acknowledge the truth.
Here is my source:
Too bad the sale is only for iPhone/itouch...
For all the pirates jumping up and down...if you've been online within the past 3 months and/or have a new game with Wave 4 tech your out of luck. HAHA
I think its an extreme disservice to all gamers that Bioware isn't being straightforward about this. If a PS3 version is going to be released in the future with additional content...I want that version. Also, it would be nice to have a choice in general. If it isn't coming to PS3, Bioware shouldn't keep everyones hopes up.
Edit: My guess is that ME2 is a timed exclusive, and EA/Bioware have an agreement with Microsoft to keep the PS3 version under wraps.
As a multiconsole I will give the PS3 the nod when it comes to exclusives, however multiplatform titles which are multiplayer in nature seem to always sell and arguably play better thanks to Xbox Live. Take Borderlands for example, it only sold 100,000 less than Uncharted 2 (crazy). Obviously 360 owners are buying games.
With that said, I think gamers of all stripes should buy as many games as they can. Support the game industry. And for anyone that hasn't bought Uncharted 2 or ...
I have to agree that the graphics in Modern Warfare 2 did not deserve a 10 in ign's review. The Wii version seems to be a fair review nonetheless, although I will have to give it a rental to be sure. Anyone know if the framerate is as bad in the Wii version as the review seems to imply?
Who knows how my Tecmo/Koei wanted it to sell...however it did decent considering what it was up against. Also, why the rush to defend the sales? That would be an admission that the sales ARE weak. I already have the game on 360 so I held off on getting Sigma 2 right away. I hope it becomes a Greatest Hit so I can get it on the cheap.
Thats funny because the opposite is true for me. Netflix on every device is great, however its clear the streaming and interface needs improvement. With the 360 interface, everything is super fast- no waiting to see movie title box art. With PS3, I have to wait at least 10 seconds before each section loads. If you move to a different section...another 10 seconds for everything to load. The 360 streams everything perfectly where as the PS3 has really struggled to maintain parity. Choice is goo...
