It would be great if it provided as much improvement to the Xone as it does to the PC.
Personally I think it will provide some improvement - but not as much - because the Xone API is already more efficient. At the same time Xone isn't using all of its CPU cores or its ESRAM efficiently - so there will be a benefit.

I am an Xone owner and a moderate Gears fan. To my recollection I have not played Gears 3. I have 0 desire to buy a Gears 3 remaster for anything more then $20. I would pay $60 for a Gears collection remastered. Remastering games from last gen and charging full price is the worst trend in gaming - looking at you GTA 5 and TLOU.
Any game that FOCUSES on transgender issues should be a small, indie project. If its a AAA title - even a mega star title like GTA or Halo - its going to be such a failure, it could end the series (maybe DLC for Saints Row would work) The appeal will be limited. Ori is a fun game and for the price it's mind blowing BUT they really need to cut the intro to 1-2 min. I almost gave up on it after the 1st 20 min. And I personally think the plot is hokey and makes the game worse. It's really ephemeral hippy ass Japanese stuff. The benefits of better graphics are starting to peak. Moving past 4k will be pointless. Basically the current gen of top end video cards (Titan X) are as good as you will ever need for normal 2D gaming. Until we push into glassless 3D or VR.
??? This game is how many weeks old? Its not even in the top 10 anymore. 95% of the copies that will ever be sold - have already been sold (new copies not used). Game will barely break 1 million units. Move on to Batman or something.
Everyone knows it is not a failure in terms of quality 1st party exclusives. It is a failure in terms of blockbuster AAA 3rd party titles and in terms of hardware sales. Fortunately Nintendo has a business model that allows it to make $$ on each console sold, so its not like low sales jeopardize the company - its just that they could be doing ALOT better.
Sigh. VR for AAA games is a next gen thing. It's simple math. We are struggling to put up 1080p @ 60 fps. VR needs 1080px2 (2 eyes) @ 120 fps. Some people say it needs even more the 1080p. So we need 4x to 10x current console power to do this. IE 2 Titan Xs in SLI.
Then you need to get the hardware to weigh less then 1lb and cost less then $150. This is so obviously a 2020 thing.
I'm guessing this is PC? Anyone know if its using DX12 like the final build will (IE is the game built from the ground up to use DX12)? As I've said before I don't think the graphical gap between the Xone and PS4 is very noticeable by normal people at normal distances and on normal TVs. On my 110" TV with the couch 8 feet away - its more obvious. So Im not really worried about DX12 making XOne more powerful - I just wonder if it enables new effects.
Will the cloud deniers even watch the videos before denouncing this? We are getting to a point where cloud is capable of almost everything we used to need local hardware for. Instead of needing laptops we will simply plug our cellphones into a dock and have i7 equivalent power. Instead of needing to buy a console you will need a blue tooth controller and a $50 stick that plugs into your TV like the new Intel stick computer.
They own the IP. Coke can't go make an ad showing Mario without getting Nintendo's permission. And that's what these YouTube videos are - advertisements. So Nintendo gets to decide based on what brings in more revenue, free ever timing or taking a cut of the proceeds that these guys make off advertising companies by using Nintendo's IP. If the guys were not making $$ or barely getting by it wouldn't be an issue but some make $10s of millions a year.
Did you play it for PS3? If so - probably not. If not will the game be full price? If yes, Then probably not. If it's $20 I'd buy it cause I didn't play it last gen. But I do have SEVERAL PS3s and I can pick it up used for <$5, so there is a limit on what I'll pay for a slight Gfx upgrade.
I think the rule should be only to remaster stuff from 2 gens ago. If you remaster a game either make it $20 or make it a collection.

Neither the PS4 nor the Xone are factually superior. It's all down to preference. Mainly on exclusives - because they play third party games almost identically.
