To be fair, the Wii U's launch games look better than ps3/360's launch games because devs have had about 6 years experience on similar hardware (ps3, 360, and 6 year old pc tech).
Any news on if they'll hire Omar Kendall? The dude helped make PSASBR so balanced and fun (which is difficult for a 4 player fighting game).
Who are YOU to be able to define next gen in such a limited scope? You can spin it any way you want, but people are still going to compare Wii U to REAL next gen consoles, not just to nintendo's previous console. We are not robots, that we are hung-up on what limitations that the a console can be defined as next gen based on technicalities. Absolutely! I am most interested in Occulus Rift, Steambox, PS4, some new PS3 exclusives, and Ouya (just for kicks) this year. Nothing else catches my eye.

I sure hope it comes in 2013. I know we are getting some great ps3 games this year,but I desire new ways to play my games too. Hopefully the next gen introduces new ways to play our games, because frankly i'm getting bored.
42 hours is not short for a game. $60 for a 6 hour campaign that has no replay value (or at least some multiplayer) is a joke. Not that it has to have multiplayer, but if the campaign is only 6 hours, It needs SOMETHING to keep me going at that price (like a level editor, etc).
No swearing, but it's okay to steal cars, kill padestrians, rob banks, shoot cops etc. Hmm....
I'm saving for ps4, a launch game or two, and maybe The Last of Us game. That's it.

DLC is one of the causes (of many, but not all) games being shortened (ironically). YES, they DO extend the games, but in essence the games are shorter when u 1st innitially pay $60 at retail. When we buy a $60 game that's been stripped down due to the company withholding content in hopes of reselling it to us again later, then that's why games are like 6 hours. $10 an hour? Hells no!

Playstation is the only relevent brand right now if your a core gamer. So yeah, if u love games, u love playstation. It's not a mere preference, it's only because core gaming is up against the wall while casual games are unfortunately getting more focus. So we cling hard to whoever defends true, hardcore gaming. Sony just happens to be the only one doing that (and Valve). M$, Apple, Nintendo, Android, Flash games etc only care about casuals and it's important that core gamers show...
