If Dice wants a great story for their campaign, they should consider hiring the guys who made Spec Ops: The Line. DICE is a wonderful online game developer, but their sense of humor is dry and boring, so they should stay away from making campaign stories themselves. Just stick to MP and give the campaign to good storywriters and those who've had success with making quality campaign games.
Enjoy p4g. As u can tell from my avatar, I believe that it is the greatest jrpg ever. Atlus is the new Square. Enjoy your game!
@ mma fan: Whoa there buddy. I know i wrote a lot, but it was just my opinion. My problem was not the disagrees, but the lack of counter-arguments. And you just proved my point. Wasting your lone lil' bubble and u still didn't provide a counter argument. How very useless.
At least butcher above me gave his opinion.
For what? Once it comes out, Sony is sticking with whatever design came in the box. That's why they need to slightly change the controller before release. The touch-panel makes more sense in the back since we wont need to take our thumbs off of the analog and face buttons just to use it. If they leave it in the front, then it would be nearly useless for games since the only fingers i'd have freely available (after extending thumbs to use a frontal touch pad) will only leave me with th...
Seriously they can divide up parts of a cloud game by putting parts of it on our local ps4's harddrive? How is that possible? Maybe for a movie or audio, but how will this work for an interactive game? Please tell me more as I am ezxcited for what this could also mean for ps3 owners. If this IS possible, then maybe ps3 owners can also play ps4 games via gaikai if portions of the game will save on the harddrive (which could significantly reduce the amount of bandwidth speed needed to be st...
This applies to all game reviews:
Don't be gullible over a score. Even COD gets 10/10, and we all know that that doesn't make sense. Try reading more than just 1 review to get a sense as to whether the game is right for you.
Cutscenes =/= gameplay.
Look, I hear what your saying: even MGS 4 was short too. But at least mgo kept me entertained for a very long time. Plus the animal/big boss rankings kept me replaying the campaign. But Reveangance, it needs something to make me replay it for weeks. Times are rough, $60 needs to stretch the game a bit more. Multiplayer in rising would likely be idiotic, but VR mission level editor would keep game fresh for much longer. I would get it if it had somethin...
What?
Me too! At midnight! When Ground Zeroes comes out, that is. This game name Reveangance? Nah. I like my $60 games to be longer than 5 hours. I'll get it used and return to gamestop within the 7 days allowed. I'm sure anyone can beat it in 1 week if it's only a 5 hours game
$60 for a 5 hour Bayonetta rendition of mgs? More than $10 bucks an hour? No thanks. Should have put a VR mission level editor or something to lengthen the game (like LBP games, Infamous 2 or far cry's share-able User Generated/Created levels). I think i'll wait for Ground Zeroes (which Kojima said will be huge, dozens of hours more than even Peace Walker; traditional mix of stealth and action; GOOD storytelling; and Multiplayer).
Sorry but Rising might get a rental a...
But when u say sheep, u mean mindless drones who wander aimlessly and follow what the other "sheep" do, even if it leads them to slaughter. There is a definite similarity. Either way, we imagine that we're killing people for no ther reason than to just do it. No war scenario, no nothing. Just killing "former" humans and we're supposed to think that that is enough of a selling point to want the game? Zombies are overused in a lot games that never would have gotten a...
But that's only 1 game. U do understand that overuse means that most zombie containing games only use zombies as a crutch to sell mediocre games. But it still sells just because it has zombies. I especially despise zombies as dlc. Same game, different coat.
Time for kojima to get back to Ground Zeroes.
Glad this is out of the way. Now on to a REAL stealth based MG game: Ground Zeroes baby! Can't wait for Metal Gear Online 3 too.
Looks too small for that kind of design (even if dual shock is smaller, it's design goes well with it's size) plus the face buttons look like they are digital as opposed to analog. That's not good.
@Hano:
So what if Activision does it too? How does one wrong make another right? What the hell kinda void logic...? SMH
@Galactic:
It's free. So these disappointed "gamers" you mentioned need to suck it up. It's a fine distraction away from usual gaming. It's for social purposes, and for that reason, it succeeded. No one has negative connotations towards PS3 having apps like netflix, hulu, etc. So why should they be upset about Home? Home is an app for PS3 owners to enjoy, for free. "Gamers" do other things than play games. So, when I make a new friend via gaming, it'...
Sure as long as it's only named that in Japan only.
Man, could that game's title sound any more generic?
Hell. No.
