Who said anything about Square? They still suck.

So, these "leaks"...you were miraculously able to prove that they were credible?

You misspelled "share". Twice.

On topic: WHO in their right mind wouldn't want backwards compatibility? However, it would be expensive since Sony would have to keep producing the Cell Chips that have to be specially made. It's not like AMD or Nvidia who they can cut deals with. The Cell Chips have to be specially made only for PS3 and PS4 and will cost a lot because of it's propriety technology.

So, with that said, I think that IF Sony...

With 70 Million PS3 owners right now, I don't think the PS4 will have a dent on the new exclusives. My getting a PS4 doesn't undo the fact that I still own my PS3.

@ Matt: I agree too. I dunno what's with all the disagrees though. Atlus has been holding things down in the West and for that they should be crowned as the saviors of JRPG's in the West. Whether it be on portables or consoles.

People are overreacting to what some clown on 1up said.

Quote from article that made me stop reading:

"As many of you know, the idea of having announcements at E3 might not be as likely due to rumors that the next-gen consoles would be announced before E3"

I don't think they'll wait until E3 either, but I sure as hell know that "rumors" don't have the power to dictate what Sony will or won't do. The author gives rumors too much credibility.

@ Burger:

Yes I beat Persona 3 and yes it's amazing. Your in for quite a ride. Both me and my wife each beat it at about 165 hour range (And the bonus game called "The Answer" is an additional 40 hours--making it about 205 hours!!!). It's the best $10 you ever spent! Also, I love my Vita but can't recommend to anyone else that they should buy it (yet). It's very expensive when you count the cost of a memory card, the vita itself, a game (P4G is a mu...

I actually wanted a touch screen, but your idea is pretty good instead too. A touch sensor would be fine (like u said already), and I guess an extra LCD screen is unnecessary since looking away from the TV to look down at controller is going to break up the action a bit....

That's the OLD Nintendo. The current "administration" (Under President Iwata) is a mess right now. He's been screwing up ever since the GameCube era and has been riding on the coat tails of gimmicks, and over-saturation of franchises (Iwata was in charge when Nintendo REALLY started to milk their franchises to death in the GameCube years (millions of par mario spinoffs). He got lucky with the first Wii (casuals), but he may not do so well with the Wii U (especially when both...

Why should Sony care about Wii U as a basis for announcing PS4? Sony is in a whole other league.

Good point--Man they should have used that money to announce PS4 instead on Superbowl Sunday. Not that GOW isnt a great game (the Beta was fun!), but a SuperBowl announcement of PS4 would just be epic and would reach MILLIONS of people in an instant. Especially if it had footage/tech demo of a next-gen Madden (to coincide with the SuperBowl/Football). I'm not a football fan, but everybody watching superbowl would've been SOLD to the PS4 .

I'm not trolling, but I don't know if Wii U even needs to be addressed by Sony. Seriously, Wii U may not even be a factor to Sony. Their eyes are set on dominating real next gen hardware.

That's what I already said. But look at the mainstream coverage Persona 4 Golden edition got--it's HUGE. However, despite the publicity, P4G launched on the Vita (which I own). The Vita is selling TERRIBLY so many people will never play that amazing game. Ni No Kuni launched on PS3, the most popular console right now (especially due to it's amazing exclusives).

BOTH games are great, but Persona 3 and 4 is what kept interest in JRPG's in the West alive for the ...

No it isn't. It IS a great game, but Shin Megami Tensei games (including Persona 3 and 4) innovated in the genre, and kept JRPG's afloat even in the west, during a severe drought. Ni No Kuni just had more publicity backing it. But it is a great game too.

Why not just play other types of 3rd person shooters? Why should a HORROR game be softened up for people who are scared of horror?

Shin Megami Tensei/Persona/Devil Survivor (all in the SMT series) = The saviors of JRPG's. FACT.

If u don't believe it, then you never played an SMT game.

Honestly, if they said it was coming in Spring, then delay until September, I think there's more going on here. I don't think the delay is solely due to just polishing the game alone (if so, WHY did they tell fans and investors that it was coming in Spring? It would have been better to say nothing at all until they knew when they were ready to give a proper due date).

I honestly believe the delay was because of the Sandy Hook shooting. The media is going berserk and ...
