I have nothing against VR but it's not currently worth the asking price for the minimal support. Give it a few years and maybe it'll be worth it. No doubt VR is pretty cool though and can make games more immersive but now is just not the time.
VR is deinitely not ready for mass consumption yet for 2 main reasones... it's expensive and there are few games that support it. A few more years and it might be more appealing.
@blackblades
That's why it's funny. Your response makes it even more funny lol have you been triggered? Better get back to your safe space quick
Not surprised by the $499 price. It's not terrible, but without any actual One X exclusives I just don't see the point in this sort of upgrade. Same with PS4 pro. What is the point of all that extra power without exclusive games that will actually use it?
I've always been an Xbox guy, but after watching the show I honestly would've preferred if they focused on bringing good first party exclusives or even third party exclusives to the Xbox One family for the ...
I doubt they'll spend that much time on Scorpio specs. They have already given us a good look at specs through digital foundry. Maybe a few more details but certainly (hopefully) not 30 minutes worth.
Not really. Scorpio comes out next year, 4 years after Xbox One. It wouldn't be the first time a new console came out after only 4 years. Original Xbox 2001 to Xbox 360 2005. Sega Master System 1985 to Sega Genesis 1988 that's only 3 years. Scorpio might as well be a next gen Xbox. Don't forget the last generation was much longer than usual. MS says Scorpio won't have exclusives, but remember for the first 2 years of this gen a lot of games were releasing on current and last g...
Halo: CE 2001
Halo 2 2004
Halo 3 2007
Halo: Reach 2010
Halo 4 2012
Halo 5 2015
Always 3 years between releases except for Halo 4, although 343 started development of Halo 4 in 2009 before Bungie released Reach so it was in development for pretty much 3 years.
If Microsoft hadn't forced Bungie to only make Halo games and given them more creative freedom, maybe Bungie wouldn't have left MS to partner with Activision, and Destiny would be an Xbox exclusive. It might have even been a better game without Activision's involvement. Whether you like Destiny or not it still sold millions. I'm sure MS regret now letting one of their best studios go, but hopefully they learned something from it.
Quantum Break announced in 2013, released in 2016....
@Michael
Pretty much all the games you listed were shown at last year's E3 so of course they'd have release dates for them this time around. Everyone talks about how Microsoft showed games we'd be getting roughly within the next year which is fine, but they showed almost no new games which is what I wanted to see at E3. As a guy who plays primarily on Xbox I was totally bored watching the MS E3 show ...
@ElementX
Halo books are definitely not fan fiction. All the Halo novels and comic books are official canon.
I'm an Xbox guy, but I play on PS4 as well, and this year I definitely wasn't as excited about the Xbox E3 show. Sure the hardware announcements were cool, but there weren't really any new major game reveals which was kind of disappointing. I'm still looking forward to playing the games shown like Recore and Gears of War, etc. but I was hoping to see more new game announcements. On the other hand, Sony showed a lot of new games and I'm particularly excited for God of War 4...
Halo Wars 2 was announced last year. Forza Horizon 3 was leaked a long time ago as well.
Funny thing is I seem to remember back when Spencer first started talking about an upgraded console, before the PS4.5 rumors started, people were claiming it would be the doom of Xbox. Then the PS4.5 rumors start showing up and everybody flips, the people dooming Xbox were praising Sony for the exact same thing, and the people praising the Xbox start dooming the PS4.
I've said this before, but literally every annoying fanboy on this site, no matter which side they are o...
@christoculus
Halo 5 was absolutely barebones at launch, and the community has dried up and abandoned the game. Why do you think 343 recently had to remove region lock for Halo 5? Because the game doesn't have the numbers to support it. Halo 5 can barely hold 10th place on Xbox Live most played games, compared to say Halo: Reach which never fell below 3rd place until Halo 4 came out.
Halo 5 at launch had hardly any content. A 4 hour campaign, Arena with o...
@sammarshall
Interesting how a dev can create the illusion that they are giving you new free content when they simply don't include any of the content that should have been there since the launch of the game. At this rate they just might finish making Halo 5 by the time Halo 6 comes out
@IGiveHugs...
Marketing rights won't really make much of a difference if there are twice as many people on the other console.
That's literally the exact definition of an opinion. Doesn't matter if it's the majority opinion, still an opinion.
Now I'm a fan of Naughty Dog and the Uncharted Series, but I never understood the hype for TLOU. Of course for me I was already sick of the whole zombie apocalypse obsession (I know they aren't technically "zombies" in TLOU but still) so that really affected how I felt about the game.
But if you're gonna call ...
Is he not allowed to have his own opinion?
Perhaps because they've already shown the destruction? And they hadn't shown single player until now?
