New installments are supposed improve and build upon previous games. Halo 5 was a major step backwards, lacking so much compared to previous Halo games.

Very few playlists and game modes available at launch, a terrible campaign, limited customization options for armor, emblems, etc, theater mode still doesn't work for campaign like it did in the past, horrible maps, horrible UI, They are adding some of these things as free updates which is good, but they really should hav...

I disagree the multilayer stood out to me. It's different from the standard COD style fps, and has that classic arena feel to it which I haven't seen a lot of these days. I'm looking forward to this.

Learn from Microsoft's mistakes with Halo, saying this as an Xbox owner and huge Halo fan, since 343 took over the quality has gone way down and Halo in my opinion is no longer a good reason to own an Xbox. Halo 5 is the lowest rated and lowest selling of any main Halo game. They should've just let Halo end when Bungie wanted it to end. Perhaps if they were willing to do that Bungie would still be a MS first party developer.

It'd be a shame if the Uncharted series...

And now the Guardian just put out their review giving it a 2/5 and of course that's the one that will get all the hits. But that's how the Internet works I guess. Video game "journalism" is a joke, and it's difficult to take the industry seriously at all.

Better than a 10/10 in my personal rating system

I was always a fan of the Uncharted series so I hope it lives up to the hype. Honestly the only thing that has me worried is that it seems this gen many of the games that look really good end up lacking in content because the devs gotta make cuts to bring a game to a certain visual level and/or meet a deadline (Battlefront, Ryse, The Order, even Halo 5 in my opinion and I say that as a huge halo fan as well), so hopefully Naughty Dog aren't focusing too much on just graphics.

I just wonder if these type of mid gen upgrades everyone's been talking about for PS and Xbox would lessen the impact of the actual next generation of consoles. Going forward are we just gonna get upgrades every 2-3 years? After how many upgrades do they become PS5 or XB2 or whatever? And if games are still gonna come out on the previous versions, will owners of the latest consoles complain about the lesser hardware holding back games development like they did at the beginning of this gen...

I've been around the Internet and especially this site for a while now and I can say that what I find hilarious is how this same kind of thing happens over and over and over again on both sides. Seriously I feel like everybody here must have short term memory loss.

One week say you have one side using game sales to argue a game is good or bad, while the other side says sales don't matter. The next week it flips.

Or you have a situation like this where...

I don't really understand these comments about "poor reviews" as there are only very few poor reviews out for Quantum Break. Most of them are pretty good.

Most of us can agree on that? How could we possibly do that when most of us haven't even played the game for ourselves yet?

"343 was/is a LARGE portion if who made Halo in the first place"

That's so wrong, and there are too many people who actually believe this. Both 343 and Bungie have stated that the number of Bungie employees who went to 343 was very very few and could be counted on one hand. Currently the only former Bungie employee left at 343 is Frank O'Connor, the others have moved on.

What could this 2016 thing actually be? They're referring to it as a "new type of video game format" that they've apparently never done before.

This is literally how every business handles this kind of thing. Is Microsoft gonna tell them a month in advance that "hey we're cancelling the game and closing you down" but let them continue to work on it for a month? Being fired isn't like quitting there's no 2 week notice. When you have a talk with someone who is gonna be fired, the talk is literally the firing not "we have to fire you in a couple weeks sorry"

Employees who know that they&#...

I'm not really sure how telling them sooner would've changed anything. How exactly do you warn them that hey we're cancelling your game without just cancelling it? It's not like they're gonna say we're cancelling the game but you should still spend the next 2 weeks working on it just heads up though it's not gonna come out.

So it just seems like telling Lionhead sooner would only move all this back a few weeks and nothing would be different. Also I...

@Phunky

Why would anyone own an Xbox One if exclusives are gonna be on PC? Well I won't speak for others but I can speak for myself. I'm not a PC gamer, don't plan on building a rig anytime soon, I still want to play those games. Therefore I own an Xbox One.

No dude, Bungie was absolutely first party. Microsoft bought them in 2000, then they bought themselves back basically and became an independent company in 2007 right after Halo 3 came out, but continued to work with Microsoft on Halo until 2010.
