I can't help but think that sarcasm was underlying this comparison. I think they were poking fun at how silly comparisons really are with this ludicrous comparison because everyone, even blind people, know that KZ2 looks better.
Some of the more fair and balanced reviewers will recognize that RE5 was not meant to reinvent the genre like KillZone2 was not meant to reinvent the genre.
I just hope the other reviewers who docked KZ2 points because it is a "standard" FPS will do the same to RE5.
I really wanted to like RE5, but the horror/suspense is gone. I still vividly remember the very first zombie you run into from RE1 in the mansion, but nothing really sticks out for me in RE5, in the demo anyway.
I can understand the tank mechanic and why it theoretically could create suspense, but the "zombies" just sprint at you, stop, and examine you. Hopefully that is just a difficult issue in the demo. Dead Rising and their zombies? Now that was suspense.
They should combine Dead Rising with Resident Evil. Imagine having hundreds of zombies limping towards you. You move some chairs and set up a makeshift barricade. You're firing your pistol, but they keep coming and eventually start breaking down your defense. You walk backwards, slowly, firing frantically. Your pistol clicks, no more ammo. You hear your partner calling your name. You run into an apartment complex and shut the gates. That holds the zombies for a bit. But then you hear a chains...
I'm downloading the demo as we speak. I only played the very first Resident Evil on PS1 and like 10 minutes of RE4 on gamecube so I'm coming into this whole 'tank' mechanic fresh. Hopefully my naivitae will make the controls more bearable for me than others who have extensive RE experience.

It takes only 10 points for an article to get approved. About 30 reports on this submission and yet there's still a chance it will be approved. Shouldn't the system automatically bury a news article after X amount of reports?
