Game looks like complete dogshit.
Protecting children, eh?
From the company that sells smart phones, of which a lot of kids have and use, and can watch porn or brutal beheading videos should they be curious enough. Protect children in today's world? Fucking impossible.
"I can only imagine next gen will push it further"
Well, no shit, Sherlock. But why wait at all? The thing is cheap enough for the tech it offers, and what it offers is good enough for what VR is supposed to be.
This is what happens to an industry when you let corporate capitalist wankers sink their fangs into it. I'm talking about the shareholders and the CEO's.
You going somewhere, sunshine?
"In some cases — like We Happy Few — Microsoft's machine manages to achieve native 4K while PlayStation 4 Pro only hits 1080p."
Straws - do you clutch them?
I mean, WOW! We Happy Few. That barnstormer of a technical showcase. Meanwhile, games like Spiderman, God of War, Uncharted 4 and Horizon ZD are all hitting the 4k regardless of method. But look out! We Happy Few fails to hit the mark. You know, that game that was a buggy piece of shit. ...
"doubts are growing whether Nintendo Co.’s Switch can ever become a mass-market product."
Is this a piss take of some sort?
Modern industry thinking in a nutshell there. If it isn't selling a hundred zillion bizziion units and making ALL the money in the world, then it's a failure to these jokers. Absolute clown shoes article. Some people are stealing a living, and these idiots certainly prove that.
"You can only re-experience the PSX games in their full glory on the PC"
Errr, what? How about on the original fucking console for starters?
Chances are you did for HDR, as OLED nit levels are a bit gash.
The only one delusional is you.
Good to see Nintendo do well. A healthy Nintendo is a healthy industry.
Super Hot is an absolute must. If you ever wanted to feel like Neo in the Matrix, this is your game. Make sure you have the Moves.
Don't forget Tetris Effect.
Honestly, this entire generation (bar a handful of games I can count literally on one hand, and a few of those are on the Switch) would have been a total flop in my eyes if it weren't for VR. Nothing but remakes, remasters, and the obligatory tired sequel, bar the Witcher and RDR2. As I say, a handful.
Sony have also yet to reveal more games as they promised those "longer and deeper" games and experiences. For...
If a thing doesn't sell 50 billion trillion units, it's regarded as a failure these days for some reason.
Edit - as perfectly illustrated by the simpleton williamsheridan already.
"but I wouldn't say its a big deal for gamers."
Hello.
Long time gamer here. Probably well before you were in nappies. As a gamer, it's a big deal.
Have a nice day.
The degradation of the industry rolls on. .The publishers and shareholders can't be bargained with. They can't be reasoned with. They don't feel pity, or remorse, or fear. And they absolutely will not stop, ever, until you are fleeced.
Apparently it's rumoured that the PS5 will have the breakout box built into the machine, and the controller and HMD will both have a camera on them for tracking. Gloves are supposedly being experimented with in R&D.
John Romero, Mark II basically.
teenage angst?
Good one.
