Both KZ2 and KZ3 numbers are from VGC, so if there is any inaccuracy or bias or anything, it's in both numbers.
What I'm trying to say is that the numbers may be different but the fact that KZ3 sells less than KZ2 did is most likely real.

Well, as of now(its already Tuesday), there are about 380k registered players on Killzone 3 leadership board, so unless you actually think there are more half of the people who bought KZ3 but didn't play MP at all, I don't see how VGC's number is completely fake.

If Sony wants NGP to ever come close to PSP's installed base, they need to compete with those devices. I'm talking about entertainment, not just gaming, on a handheld. If NGP is only intended for gamers, like you imply, I am pretty sure that NGP will never ever even touch PSP in terms of total sales.
