@Hicken
I can explain it in length with arguments such as non-transferable skills, unstable income and short career life. But why don't you just give me an example of a real person who pays his bills and raises a family through only playing video games before you classify gaming as a real job?
Or get a real job.
Because for Uncharted 3, that's about 4 times of what Uncharted 2 sold on week one. So you tell me if that is possible.
Just because you didn't enjoy a certain game doesn't mean it's not a good game. These reviewers don't review games based on your taste.
Your right, he should review the game as a PS3 fanboy.
Seem like it has a spectacular campaign with a deep story which is rare for a FPS. It's the first time I'm thinking about buying a FPS for its story campaign.
@TheBrit
I thought a father knew better than that. If they raise the price of the full game, some people will still pay for it but some people will not, resulting in less sales and most likely less profit. Same with DLC prices. That's why your son thinks it's not worth it, and choose not to buy it. That's basic economic concepts.
Before you conclude that those DLCs should have been available from the full game, let's look at how much content ...
Get away with what? It's not like we are not getting 60 buck worth of content out of the full game. In fact, a copy of Gears 3 gives us more than that, and so does a copy of Uncharted 3, Battlefield 3 and obviously Skyrim. So what's the harm of having DLCs if they are optional and not taking away anything from the full game?
Lol, people are pissed as if Gears 3 was the only game that was going to have DLCs post-release. I can guarantee that big games such as Uncharted 3, Battlefield 3 and Resistance 3 will all be having DLCs in the year following their releases which will cost you more than 30 bucks if you buy them all. And do you honestly believe that Epic is the only devs that have DLCs planned before a game's release?
Did the idiot who wrote this article know that Gears 3 has BY FAR the most preorders among any game that's going to be released this fall? And it's the first game I can remember whose limited editions are actually sold out almost everywhere months before its release.
I thought it was a RPG.
Source?
You blame the wrong guy, dude. Bobby won't milk the crap out of COD franchise if there's no demand. He's the CEO. What do you suggest him do? Not try to maximize the company's profit?
Not surprised that Gears 3 is the most preordered game right now. I tried to preorder its limited edition a couple weeks ago, but it's sold out literally everywhere. Hopefully, there will be more supply later on.
You mean its backstory, not the story in the campaign. I played through both KZ2 and KZ3 campaigns, and I must admit that both stories especially KZ3 are extremely generic and uninteresting. Not to mention that the main characters in KZ3 are just some of the most boring in the FPSs that have over 80 on metacritic.
And multiplayer is far superior on KZ2 than on KZ3. GG wasted too much time and resources on the controls and removing stuff from KZ2 mp, which was unnecessary. Mor...
I played both, and I think Gears 3 won by a mile. Gears 3 multiplayer was intense and addictive, while playing U3 mp felt more like a chore.
Only 3 million units by January? Well, since you even put Resistance 3 and Deus Ex(which I have no idea about what it is)ahead of Gears 3, I can understand why you will think that.
And just FYI, the first two week sales of Gears 2 were 2.5 million units.
Sorry but Halo 4 is a 360 title.

To be fair, they both lost. Both conferences were terrible.
Really hope this game is open-world.
