For idiots who complain about this game is fully priced, you do know that the PS3 version still sells for 60 bucks in almost all retailers and its DLCs are still selling on PSN, right? If they listed the PS4 version at 40 bucks like these morons suggested, they would have to cut the PS3 version's price to at least 20 bucks which is just retarded. So please think for more than one second before you whine for once in your life.
"With no lore to go with the game, a lack of game modes, and no type of sense of accomplishment in winning, you honestly might play this for a few weeks and put it aside until new maps come out, and than put it aside again. That is too little in my opinion to justify a full retail price for a game like this."
80% of the COD players and even bigger majority of the BF players don't give a crap about the story, and yet they play the multiplayer for months or even y...
Arguing that a copy of Titanfall is only worth half the price of a full game is just as stupid as arguing about review scores. You can write a 20-page report about Titanfall needing a campaign to justify a 60 dollar price tag or how Infamous Second Son is repetitive, but at the end of the days, it's the consumers who decide the truth or vote with their wallets. So if tons of people buy Titanfall and Infamous and have like 20 hours of fun playing both of them, your argument to say otherwis...
Well, I would explain but beware of SPOILERS
At the basic, all power sets have the rapid fire abilities that literally function pretty much the same for all sets. Then, they each have a rocket launcher ability that not only has limited shots but also function the same across all sets. Finally, you got the usual shotgun ability for smoke and the grenade ability for neon which you can only use when you are at that specific power set. These abilities already exist in Infamous 2 ...
The power sets all seem kinda shallow in terms of what they can do especially when they have been in development for 2.5 years and with all these efforts and brain-storming the things they come up with at the end seem really generic.
Who cares if you can still play those games after 15 years. 99.9% of all gamers wont even want to still play or care about those games after just 5 years, let alone 15.
If single player games like Tomb Raider and Bioshock which provides a 10 hour campaign and nothing else other than boring side missions and collectibles charge 60 dollars for them, then it is more than ok for Titanfall to cost 60 bucks.
Speak for myself? I am sorry but are you one of those people who assume that most people behave in a similar way like you do? As in this case, you could be thinking that most gamers will 100% a game no matter how many hours it takes and get bored with any multiplayer within a week like you do. Well, the reality is most gamers are very much not like you.
"The problem is the lasting appeal, it will get good scores based on the few hours of gameplay they play but after a week or so people will end up getting a little bored and will end up hopping onto another game."
Just like people did on BF4, Ghosts and Killzone, right? Oh wait, lots of people still play those games, have been for months and won't stop for quite some time to come. You know which game most people have stopped playing? AC4. You know why? Because t...
Well, I really don't care what your past comments about Titanfall were. And hypocrisy? playing up the game? Lots of people including me merely say that we find the game extremely fun and fresh, and that's it. There is a person who literally just said "its great fun though" and gets like 12 disagrees. How is that "playing up" the game? You mean Titanfall cannot be fun for some people? People aren't allowed to have tons of fun with games you don't like?
Where do I get my information from? Because I played the game and so have a lot of people? And me along with many people think the game is really fun and fresh? And it borrows from other FPSs? That's all you got? You can essentially argue every single game including Destiny that's going to be released borrows some elements from other games in the same genre. But that literally says nothing about that game.
Let me ask you the same question. Where did you get the inform...
Why are some people trying SO hard to put down this game? Articles after articles, posts after posts, essays after essays, these people try so hard to convince everyone every chance they get about how this game isn't special, is just another FPS or is gonna die after 3 months or something.
Funny thing is none of these words are gonna change the fact that lots of people absolutely love this game after playing the beta and will buy this game. It doesn't matter if this g...
Looks like PS4 is japanizing Xbone in Europe.
Holy crap man, I am speechless. How can I play any other TPSs after watching this? Can't believe I'm saying this but Uncharted or The Last of Us on PS4 got A LOT to live up to now if this is the standard of TPSs on PS4 at least.
How is it not on par with other FPSs out there? I will play this over majority of the FPSs out there.
After hours of playtime, here's my feedback regarding the bots: their existence is necessary and good for the game but the main problem is that there are too many of them compared to the number of players. With that many bots and 6 humans on each side, the game becomes very scripted each match and hence gets boring quickly. Compared to a match of Conquest on BF4, each match of Titanfall just feels so repetitive.
With that said, unless there are some killer game modes for...
COD yes, Halo maybe. Mainly because COD is different enough from these two games with killstreak and stuff while Halo is in direct comeptition against Destiny in a way that both have similiar setting, gameplay and look with Destiny having more variety and RPG elements. So at the end of the days, I dont see why anyone would buy Halo when they can get Destiny for reasons other than pure loyalty if it lives up to the hype.
I am so sick of Titanfall's comparison to MOBAs. Games like Dota and League of Legends have bots for gameplay reasons such as applying pressure on the map, while Titanfall only has them so that even the noobiest noobs can get some kills. Stop pretending there is any big meaning behind those bots.
@-Foxtrot Really? You really cannot think of a single reason why. Just off the top of my head, I can think of several possible reasons: budget, resources, studio size, being newly founded and this being their first game. All of these could be the constraints regarding why they choose to focus on multiplayer.
What Foxtrot said about the gameplay of Infamous Second Son is basically why I can't find the motivation to finish the game for a second time. For Infamous 1 and 2, I started my second play-through and continued to finish it as soon as I finished my first, but for Second Son, there still isn't enough depth in the gameplay or what you can do with the power in terms of raining havoc to warrant an immediate second play-through.
