It sounds like you never became proficient with the shotgun. It can be very frustrating to play Gears and constantly be killed and have very few kills of your own. The thing I personally love about the game is the shotgun. It is close up, one-on-one action. Your skill against the other guy. There are those skilled with the longshot, or lancer all day (hate them!), or use the enforcer (hate them more!), but for me the fun of the game is the contest of skills up close and personal. I don't ...
@buildthewall You are incredibly naïve. You spout stupid but have nothing to back it up. I challenge you to find a single photo of children in cells at detention centers during any other president's tenure in the last half century. I'll wait. And please don't reply without a link to back up your claim. It will only make you look the worse.
@Thundercat77
I agree! Saying the PSVR is successful is about as dumb a comment as I have seen in a while. Can anyone name another product that started off this slowly and is still around? I am sure there are some. This is a true curiosity.
I am wrong but you are praising the sell of 4.2 million units is 2.5 years!?! LOL! PlayStation fanboys are HILARIOUS! Facts are facts until they negatively impact the view of PlayStation. Like I said, I am not a fan of VR. It will die a slow agonizing death, but you keep your faith. I bet you are still waiting for 3D TVs to take off as well. They are the next big thing you know.
It has reached the stars........ on a pair of Converse.
How is this success? With only 4 million sold I would wager to say they have not even recouped R&D costs yet. How is that successful? They need to sell in the tens of millions just to hit break even, as with most products. They are not even close.
Well thought out and well put together, but still incorrect. To get directly to the point, the Kinect sold 8 million in the first 60 days. The following six years before it was discontinued it reached a total sales of 35 million. As an average (not a true indication of the life cycle, I know) it sold more than 4 million a year after the initial 8 million. It went on to fail. That is more sales per year than the entirety of PSVR in 2.5 years. It shared a much larger install base index, upward ...
The answer is to get an Xbox. Play Anywhere is growing (slowly admittedly) but it allows you to play games on more than just your console. I use it to play Gears on my computer in my room (still use a controller, not a K/M guy) and leave the Xbox downstairs for the kids.
Why is anyone acting like this is impressive? PSVR was released in October of 2016. It has taken 2.5 years to sell just over four million units and this is supposed to be a good thing? HOW!?! LOL! VR is going nowhere really slowly by these numbers. If you like it, great, but don't pretend that it is doing super when the truth is in the numbers.
Aren't you the same people that complain that companies try to trick people with cgi trailers? For once it would be nice if gamers stood by something they said. Just once.
Since when are you "better off" paying for a game you already own AGAIN instead of playing said game with improvements at no cost?
Too bad there is no system that will let you play older versions of games you already own for free...
That is exactly why I want it. I wear XXL gloves and every time Microsoft makes a new controller they make it smaller. The OG controller was a perfect fit in my hands.
I am not a Sony (video game) person (never have been, which is funny because I used to work for them) but props to them. It is nice to see console gaming going strong.
I am not trying to start a war here (even though the sales people for the various console makers that work here better know as the readers will turn it into one) but did anyone notice he never rebought a game for Xbox? He probably doesn't own one but if he did he still would not have to pay for something he already owned.
Don't forget to take off the extra 10% for EA Access.
Before everyone speculates on how I know:
from 2000-2003 I managed the team that produced repair manuals for Sony tvs. I PERSONALLY edited the electronic schematics and drew the block diagrams by hand.
The article is factually correct. I'm done.
Oh, and for those of you thinking of buying a 4k tv, unless your tv is larger than 100 inches there is no visible difference between a 4k tv and 1080p from nine feet away. Not the fault of the tv, it is PH...
Would you mind telling me when in a game will you have the time to stop and zoom in to see any poor graphics issues? If you have to ZOOM IN to see it then it is not worth mentioning. Just saying.
Please stop calling Detroit and Heavy Rain games. If they only thing you perform in the "game" is dialogue selection it's NOT A F*CKING GAME! It is simple choice selection, nothing more. Hell, call it an interactive movie if you like but it's not a damn game.
