Well said man. I wish more gamers had this point of view. Owning numerous consoles and ways to play games opens your mind to understanding this. Bubble up.
This isn't about putting down gamers because they choose a different way to play than you. Its about gaming. If your sole purpose is to go online and make people feel like crap for enjoying something then you are not supporting the community that you belong to. You have become a corporate marketing puppet.
Mostly because these articles comment sections are all about who can brag harder or who is a better gamer for choosing the more powerful $400 machine. Yet when PC guys come in and do it they get yelled at and hated for being the more powerful one. If graphics mattered that much nobody would be playing on consoles.
As long as the game plays I am pretty sure people can enjoy the game on all systems. Some just need reassurance some don't.

People are not downvoting because people want to play it on PS4. They are down voting because people are trying to troll by saying "superior" or "definitive" version. As some sort of knee jerk reaction to the exclusivity.

Most people last gen thought they were gaming in full 1080p. They didn't even know what upscaling was. That's why I laughed so much at the start of this gen when people became 1080p snobs.
I think you might be turning this into more than just an article about trophies. Maybe you are reading into it too much? There are a lot of trophy hunters out there.

Let me ask you this. Was Titanfall a flop? Because I was hearing nothing but how that game sucked because it wasn't on PS. Which is stupid too.
Also just because "a few" foolish gamers said that doesn't mean the entire fan base of Xbox are the same.
I am buying the game either way because I want to play it. Doesn't mean I have to enjoy black bars. I didn't like them in Evil Within either. Regardless of the reason. I would prefer just to play the games without them.

Agreed. When someone posts a news article up within five minutes of something going down. It looks really bad. Either someone is trying to get notoriety for their website, points on n4g or fanboying out by making it a pissing contest of services.

What I think people don't know or may be forgetting is that Steam can be streamed to any PC with the application on it. That means you are basically using the "big picture" mode on the PC of your choice. Essentially an application on your Xbox one would be all that you need. You don't need a powerful PC to stream your games from your main rig. You just need to be connected to your router (preferably hardwired not WiFi). I could easily see Xbox do...

I have said it for a long time. MS admires steam. Why else would they want to go online primarily. Low overhead. They are a software company.
People have been trying to stream steam to their 360 for awhile. I hope it comes true so I can game anywhere I want.

People like myself who play on all platforms would use this. Not EVERYONE owns a PC gaming rig. Not EVERYONE who plays on PC owns an XBOX ONE.
MS has shown that they are willing to give their exclusives to Steam a few months later.

Tbh it sounds like this was the plan all along. Pushing the CPU to do more and do it more efficiently. No need to downplay something that is going to help gaming as a whole. Its not just for their console but that doesn't mean it excludes their console. After all the name Xbox is derived from the Direct-X Box.
