Hopefully they both are amazing.
I am not jumping on it right away. It may end up being one of the best single player campaigns the series has seen. Story wise anyway.
@garret
I understand the pessimists, but this game was a decade ago. I have and I used to play it as well. People online these days are always pessimists though and often times tend to hate perfectly good things in these comments for odd reasons. Some people are mad about BF4 servers and are lugging that angst with them still.
I am not defending these reasons. I am just trying to remain positive rather than burning or drowning the witch. After all the game g...
No no no.. MS was not involved. They supposedly pay for EVERYONES thoughts remember.
Well BAH Humbug... jeeesssh... Let's not get excited about anything. I didn't really get into Battlefield till late. Doesn't mean it's a bad game.
Hey Star Wars fans are pretty rabid. So are Battlefront fans. This is a pretty anticipated game and I would be happy to sign up just to play it early. Its at least an option for those who want to. That's not a horrible thing. Better than those jerks who are charging 60 bucks for early access beta codes online.
@dante
So all I have to do is buy a laptop or a long wire. I will choose a longer wire. I have rechargeable batteries in my Xbox One controllers. However in the heat of the moment if I run out of power I don't have to be daisy chained to a laptop or outlet. I can just put in Standard Batteries (not rechargeable) or Rechargeable batteries of my choice so that I don't have to worry about short battery life.
I am just pointing out that there are advan...
It doesn't cost anything.. Worth a shot at least.
@why o why
I think they just pick whatever system they want to review the game on. PS4 seems to be more popular but it's not "the more powerful system" like Mastercornholio was talking about. So it didn't make sense what he was saying. It seems most reviewers do so on consoles. Although there are a few that do it on PC.
Wouldn't that be PC?
@awi
Did I not just say you can use it but you get what you pay for? Or did you completely skip over that part?
I wasn't being rude when I said it. You were.
@savage
He has a point though. I hate when I am in the middle of a game the battery goes out and suddenly I have to spend hours pressed against my TV screen just to charge my controller. At that point I wish my DS4 had AA batteries I could put in.
They are reviewing the game not the console... Only fanboys are reviewing the console through metacritic.
You keep saying 720p in these articles and post comments to point out some sort of hypocrisy. DX12 is more about the CPU. I seem to recall a lot of those people you are pointing a finger at also saying that frames were more important to them than resolution anyway. So this would be well within that same point. As this will help out the physics and frames of games.
Personally I would love there to be more parity on resolution so that people would stop shoving 720p in peoples...
@lord
I am fully aware of that. I tend to use them but nothing beats team speak. Sorry... Its preferred and definitely better. I try to use group chat in steam but it often disconnects the group chat. You get what you pay for. The point I was making is that xbl is not some obligatory charge like it used to be.
I game mostly on PC. So I am fully aware of every way possible.
There are things on Xbox Live you don't get on PC. Like voice chat. People underestimate the cost of running many servers to use voice chat often. Look at the prices it cost to run Team Speak. All the other free services tend to go down often.
@Igivehugs
Do you even own a MS product?
You get what you pay for. People think it's all cozy on the side of free, but truth be PC gamers pay to have voice chat on quality services. Sure you can use free services, but it's not always cracked up to be what it sounds like. The preferred method on PC is Team Speak. That costs a lot more than XBOX live for a year. You have to pay for a server to use that.
Its a peripheral much like a controller. So they are going to have to price it to make money on it. Its not like a system. Sure there will be games for it but unless Sony is going to make tons of 1st party games then it will be hard to payback that money. Especially having to cover the devs too. I am sure they will make games. Perhaps that's what the wait is for. They might be getting 1st party devs to make games for it at launch.
Personally $300 seems to be the sweet spo...
They want to leave it as an option so people complain less probably.
