To be fair, MS said there was a shortage even though there was no logical reason that there would be one. But there are reason as to why the ps3 would be having shortages. For one, Why not drop the price of the 40gb if your phasing it out? Answer, because there's not enough ps3's to last a sales surge.
To say that their is a best genius out there is kind silly but I'd vote for Kojima. Metal Gear is just a remarkable franchise that is in the top five of video game series. Miyamoto would be number one, but he hasn't come up with something new in forever. Ya Mario, Zelda, and Metroid Prime are all great, but I'd love for him to do something new. Peter M. is good, but he promises thing he can't achieve, and it hurts his overall products. Will Wright is also good, but most of his games are borin...

Not going to happen. Microsoft Game Studios couldn't afford another couple of billion dollars to add to their debt.

I mean that someone who plays solitaire or pogo isn't going to spend money on games like unreal or half-life. They're technically gamers, but they're irrelevant to video game developers who develop full priced retail games. And that's where there money comes from.
If Sony would just drop the price to $300 sales would sky rocket. Brand recognition is a powerful weapon and they have loads of it.
There are not 260 million pc gamers. A pc gamer (as far as game developers are concerned) is someone who buys retail priced games on a consistent basis. Playing Pogo and solitaire does not make you a pc gamer.

MGS4 maybe but the rest aren't in the top 20. I'd say kick the sims out of the top 5, FF10 too me should be in because its loved not only by hardcore FF fans but overall gamers s well. Warcaft, Starcraft, and Diablo should all be mentioned. Take wii sports and wii play out of there. Ocarina of time is a must. And lemming I'm not sure about.

And to make your argument sound stupider, you say this is 2008, but you mention games that sure as hell aren't coming out this year. Halo 4, Dead Rising 2, Devil May Cry 6 (that be one hell of a stretch considering number 5 isn't even out yet) and Gears of War 3?
Is the human race gonna be gone in 2009? Are we gonna be dead? Is there a nuclear war going on the I haven't heard about? My understanding of the situation is that we as a race are gonna be alive till at least December of 2012. So why shouldn't 2009 be considered?
Look at the resolutions of those pictures. 800x450 vs. 2560x1440. Of course the higher resolution pics are gonna look better.
