360 owners dont defend multiple discs...I think it is safe to say all 360 owners would rather it not have multiple discs...
What 360 owners are saying is that they dont care if it is multiple discs as long as they enjoy the game...
Do they need? No. They are doing quite well without a lineup of new ips.

Ya, not sure why people think MS abandoned the "hardcore". People are just black and white, either it is hardcore or casual and you cant have both.
Obviously you can as MS has audiences in both the hardcore and casual in addition to including some of the kinect features in hardcore. If you want an example of abandoning hardcore, look at Nintendo.
I hope you understand that people wouldnt be buying kinect just for a microphone and understand that kinect is utilized with other functions.
I think it is safe to say that people are not going to buy kinect mindlessly for voice commanding ME3..It is for the people that already have kinect for other things and being able to voice command is just an added bonus..
To say kinect is just a $150 microphone is pretty fanboyish when you can use kinect for other ga...
I get annoyed watching movies with glasses as they are uncomfortable...
Probably not going to shell out $500 to wear glasses for a game...Not a big supporter of 3d, i rather have great HD visuals....
I am not sure how people determine what is a triple AAA title, but the cost of making a game isnt a criteria for me.
When I think Triple AAA titles i think of :
1) Halo
2) Gears of War
3) Metal gear solid
4) final fantasy
5) God of war
6) grand turismo
These titles in my mind are known beyond the gaming community and in mainstream which makes it a AAA title to me... People buy systems for these games...
Fair to say they need new IPs, but clearly they believe and have accepted that they do not need to for this gen. The Halo franchise is one of the best selling exclusive ever and so is Gears of War. Forza is good and fable is ok. They are going to ride these four exclusives until next gen because they have shown they can compete with these four franchises and keeping their momentum with 3rd party multiplatform games.
I believe the great success from multiplatform games help...
In the past, final fantasy i think isnt an example of milking as characters, story, and setting were pretty much different each installment.
Unfortunately, square has decided to milk after FF10-X and now with FFXIII, FFXIII Agito, FFXIII versus and so on....
SF is another milked franchise.. How many new sfiv's we've seen in just a year...
People tend to over exaggerate MS's transition to Casual. They are catering to both the core and casual crowd now. Nintendo opened the door to non gamers and MS and Sony followed. MS came with something different while Sony utilized similar tech with the move...

Then other titles are covered with "Gametitle: The blah blah blah"..a year or so later "Gametitle: The Return" Sequels have been the trend for years and people continue to support...Why would anybody quit with a franchise if fans want more? Nothing wrong with milking if people buys...

It was good in the sense that MS focused on both Core and Casual. The ones that hate the conference wanted 95% core stuff being announced and I would say it was 50/50.
Even when Kinect support was announced for core games, having the word kinect in a game made it seems that the core crowd was ignored even though it is supporting core games...
I must add that star wars looked atrocious...

Not sure how EA screwed the fans for buying the license. The NFL offered it up so it was either madden or 2k series.. EA was and is bigger than Take TWo so EA won the bid.
Madden being a shitty game is another story, but you can not say EA screwed the fans because they bought the license. If you are going to blame anybody, you should be blaming the NFL.

Yes, sony should be responding to sales data. While quality in games matters more than sales, to the average gamer outside of fanboys, it is the sales that drives the quality of these games. Without sales, you dont have the games...
Obviously Sony is doing well this generation so even though they are behind both Nintendo and MS, Sony has had been doing quite well this gen..
