Nothing wrong with these new studios, after the Bethesda acquisition by MSoft, i fully expected Sony to purchase some studios.
I would say they will acquire around 5 or 6 over the coming months.

Simply saying if you have the game via PS+, you need to pay again. (for the upgrade)

As of today, the only game we know about is Starfield, you can bet your bottom dollar Elder scrolls and Fallout will still be on Playstation.

Your right, people need to listen, Zenimax games and also Bethesda games are still multiplatform.
Why is everyone assuming all their games are exclusive now that microsoft own them?
People need to stop comparing the 2's acquisitions, Zenimax games, the majority will be kept as multiplatform, Sony's studios will be solely exclusive.

In regards to Control, it is only a "better deal" if the product is identical, in this case it was not, so is not reasonable to form an opinion.
In regards to Greedfall, the products are identical, so we can form an opinion and say that gamepass is the smarter investment "in this instance"

The version on gamepass was not the ultimate edition, whereas on PS+ it was the ultimate edition.
Gamepass only had the standard control edition, so not sure why or how anyone expected the free upgrade?

You misunderstand the process of gamepass, when a game is leaving the service, they give you, around 2 weeks or more notice, the game is always available to purchase, but when it is leaving, you get offered the game at a discount, if you want to play the game "down the road" then buy at discount, still spending less than the competiti...

Game developers/publishers are making a lot of profit on gamepass, that is the reason why more and more are supporting it.

Not if i buy the game at a 15% discounted price using the gamepass service, still getting access to the free upgrade, whereas on PS5, you still have to pay again regardless, gamepass offers it for free. Gamepass offers lifetime "rentals", so i own all the games in gamepass, until they are no longer there.
