Easily, i can hear the TV whilst having the headset on.
Exactly, i would rather buy a PS5 or second Series X, as opposed to just having the convenience of saving a few minutes per game.
Irrelevant but yet informative.
That is why i have not got any additional storage yet, i just use my 5TB external, and can play games across both. If a game is S/X optimised, to the internal it goes.
I'm an xbox gamer and i don't think the prices are unfair, after all, you do not even need an expansion.
Just transfer to the internal whatever games you want to play. External storage solutions have been in consoles for decades.
@1Victor
I can literally guarantee you, that the Seagate cards are a time-specific deal between Microsoft and Seagate, there is a reason the internal SSD is WD and the expansion Seagate, once the deal has ran it's course (18-24 months) then we will see WD and all others using the expansion cards.
I absolutely 100% called this months ago, don't like to be the one to say i told you so, but....
Further down the line, more manufacturers will be creating cards, and this will drive the prices down.
Lol at all the comments, instantly comparing to the PS5, relax guys, these are for the xbox, but i understand if you all had to enter defence mode.
No, xbox has never done this and it is not really a pressing issue, i only use my headset for party chat on xbox, i have a cinema system for the game audio, much better than trying to distinguish what is game, and what your trying to communicate with friends.
For those that do want the tv muted, just mute the tv with that button on the remote.
I'm an anomaly, i do not like game audio coming through the headset at the same time as party chat, you struggle to hear what friends are saying at times. I just have the audio through the 7.1 surround sound system, and party chat through the headset, if i am not in a party, i do not use the headset.
@Derek
"Xbox Game Pass subscriber growth was up 37%"
erm..... growth is the same as number count, if the number is 100, and a month later it is 137, then that is a 37% growth, or 37% increase in numbers.
@Moon
So your saying subs are still up? gotcha
@LoveSpuds
"the idea that there are millions of Halo and Forza fans who don't already have Gamepass who will suddenly subscribe seems really far fetched to me."
Halo 3 sold 14.5 million + copies, what is really far fetched is the notion that new games will not encourage as of yet, un-subbed gold members to upgrade.
inside info.
But yes, you are correct, although you do not need GP to play the campaign, you can buy the game as normal, play via GP, or just play the MP which is available to all account holders, silver or gold.
18 million subscribers, officially as of January 2021, i think they have grown 2 million in 10 months right?
@EvertonFC
I have been a gamepass subscriber since it was invented, launch day i subbed, early this year i upgraded to Ultimate, also been an xbox live gold subscriber since it launched until Ultimate came out.
Also November the 15th is the 20th anniversary of Halo : Combat Evolved.
Just saying...
100%
"won't announce any new games" does not translate to "will not show current games in development"
niiicccceeee, game details incoming!!!
It is hilarious isn't it? the sub count did not actually go down, it just did not go up as much as microsoft predicted, purely down to the delay of Halo.
But a certain section will still jump on this, and spin it around faster than Kylie.
Excuse for what? like i said i am an anomaly, although you can adjust the sliders to balance the audio, yeah i get that, but i have the game audio way louder than the party audio, so i can either put the game audio through the headset at minimal volume so i can hear the party chat, or just play the game through my TV, and use the headset for party chat.

How is using my personal choice, making an excuse for a feature xbox are releasing? Would i ...
