@apocalypseshadow
"You got the fans buying less month after month but praise a service or wait for games to hit the service over buying. As if that's healthy for developers.
The only one that would profit from their service and nickel and diming is Microsoft at the top of the pyramid scheme. They wouldn't care if companies die or get bought because of reduced game sales. Because it's all about their service models."
@Welshy
"but I value ownership and preservation of games"
No one owns a game, regardless of media, you buy a license to play the software, and what happens when servers are closed? the game/disc is not even worth the plastic it is printed on.
Buying a game physical or digital grants you identical rights for the license.
@4show
Exactly, for me personally, it is saving me 100's if not 1...
No, it is a subscription service, a rental service would be a rental fee per game, for a period decided by the gamer.
@gravedigger
Here is a statement from your own article :-
"Microsoft is revealing today that it will "shortly" have shipped 10 million Xbox One consoles to retailers. The significant milestone comes exactly three months after Sony first revealed it had hit 10 million sales of its PlayStation 4 console worldwide. Microsoft’s sales figures count devices shipped to retailers, rather than sales directly to consumers."
It...
I agree, the PS5 numbers are well wrong /s
@gravedigger
That "10 million shipped" figure, is sold to retailers, not sold through to customers, the amount sold through to customers in the 12 months was around 6.5 million, i mean, i can grab the figures again for you, but you will most probably just duck, deny, and deflect anyway.
The fact is, the series is outselling xbox one, stated multiple times by Microsoft and the xbox team themselves, you just need to learn to live with it is all.
I am in the process of upgrading my PC to a level which is reasonable for gaming (i want to play AOE4!!!!), so i will have to make do for now lol, but once my PC is up to scratch, i will be able to flick between both platforms.
From what i have heard so far though, the game looks really good graphically, and i am due to order my 4K TV sometime this week, seeing as though they are now down to an acceptable level :)
Hearing nothing but positives about this game so far, am yet to install once i clear 110GB out for the size lol.
@ColtPSSX
There must have been some truth to my comment, as predicted, i received another commentary ban, not sure how long it was for.
I am not saying that people did not like it, more so the commentors in this article, are known Sony fans, calling the game "trash" nothing more, nothing less, note i never used the word "fanboys", you did.
Nor am i saying this type of thing does not happen in Sony articles, i do not ...
lol, i nearly spat my coffee out reading this.
If you own the game, yes, if you just played through gamepass, no, it has left the service. You will however be able to buy the game if you wish to keep it at a discounted rate via the gamepass sub, normally around 15-35% reduction.
All they need to do is a direct port, and make sure everyone is aware you can only play with mouse and keyboard, and controller is not supported.
I'd be down with that.
Steam, GOG all results in non game ownership. 90% of the PC market is digital and non "ownership"
Well, in a sense, you can, only you need a PC to play AOE4.
"I saw in one of the Sony thread"
That could be the issue right there.
@MrNinosan
Not quite sure what tabloid your getting your information from, AOE4 was never touted as any kind of console-exclusive, and it was never given a solid release date for Series X, nor officially announced, but only hinted at.
The game is coming to xbox consoles, as and when it is ready.
"Well Xbox Game-studios, the company that want us to play games everywhere, is now making a game not available on Xbox."
...
PS5 has sold 13.4 million, not 12

So much easier, this will be miles better than starting a game, opening the twitch app, setting bitrate etc, hitting go live, and then going back to the game.
A welcome addition.
the "new normal" will be the same as it always has been? what would be different?
If you have active camo, you can activate it whenever you want, the dash has been there since Halo 5, sprint since Halo 4.
This is nothing new to the franchise.
@EvertonFC
Still reaching i see? if you include cloud/PC and gamepass subs, it is number 1 lmao.
This is simply boxed, UK sales, for Xbox only
