Torne(Jap PlayTV) is a piece of hardware that turns PS3 into a PVR, similar to PlayTV that UK and Europe has. Basically it lets the PS3 hard drive be used to record TV programs.

you get ripped off by MS overpriced add-ons
You can't even upgrade your hard drive to more than 250Gb, even after 5 years on market.

I see where your trying to go, but your way off.
PS3 has 1PPU & 7 SPU's thats 8 cores. Games devs have 1PPU & 6 SPU useable, the 7th SPU is for security & OS functions.
And before you come back at me and say SPU's arn't cores, they are.
Reasons they are cores are that they can run indepentant or along side the PPU, the SPU's have ther own Kernal, own ram, memory controller etc.

Ofcourse it has to work right, or Kinect will get returned as fast as it's been bought.
Once the crap reviews come flooding in nothing will be able to help Kinect.

HVD, is nothing but vapourware always has been.
Blu-ray is mature tech and has it's own upgradable path to TB's. It's tech will be cheaper to produce as it's already in use. Unlike HVD, which is vapourware.
More than likely CELL based, upgraded one with more SPU's or multiple existing CELL chips shrunk down.
Using CELL would make sense, as they could have hardware PS3 BC, giving a huge library of games from launch.
Sony has put to much into CELL tech to ditch it now. IF they stuck with CELL tech, R & D costs would be alot less, as it's already a mature tech. Tried and tested to work flawless. Also cheap to produce meaning Sony could launch with a rea...

Cell isn't getting ditched anytime soon. Since Sony and Toshiba are joint developers of the tech with IBM, it will continue.
Infact it's already continuing as Toshiba now make Sony Cells for PS3 not IBM.
There is know reason to believe Cell R & D couldn't carry on, just without IBM.
Nav Controller has no motion at all, it's for Navigation hence the name.

Ther would be cursor jitter like the Wii, if it was designed that way.
Cursor jitty is a major flaw for Wii.
