We already know why GT5 was delayed. It missed it's deadline for the production run by 3 days.
Seen as we can assume that other production runs for other games/Blu-ray's will already have ther slots. Sony probably had to slot into the next avaiable slot for production.

The upside down 60Gb thing does work, but don't do it.
All it would do is make your PS3 over heat, hence why the the fans kick in at full blast. It would probably get rid of dust and fry your CPU.GPU in the process.
