It's a generic name, not a great name. It literally screams generic shooter.
If I was Gabe, i'd send Jack a companion cube, as nobody else will stand by him.
I don't have any pity for him, but I do have concerns over some of the precedents that are being set so far in this case, more from a privacy standpoint than from any want to defend Geo.
edit @ above - i'm not concerned about Geo's privacy, i'm concerned about everyone elses'. It is against no law that I know of to visit a website or make a donation in support of a court case.
Valve has no responsibility whatsoever, and realistically can do nothing about the mod itself. They can keep it off Steam, but can't stop the mod being played.
What a moron.
This.
We should all be used to Molyneux by now. The problem is, his promises sound so bloody good that we always give him another chance.
Because up until now we've lived in a very old school, rabidly anti-progressive society, terrified of change.
That's changing now - and the change can't come quick enough.
If the developer believes that strongly in their MP, i'd much rather they spend the time getting that as good as possible and not bothering to include an SP component, rather than have either component feel tacked on and useless.
That goes the other way as well.
Am getting sick of devs feeling the need to tack on more features when it is obviously sacrificing overall quality. Don't know where the blame lies for devs feeling that need.....but either wa...
What about Guybrush and Elaine?
MK has been the poster boy for excessive video game violence down here since I was a kid, it was no surprise at all that it got RC'd.
The first Postal sucked, i'll agree there.
But Postal 2 was fucking awesome fun, the sense of humour is great and I still play it when I need some FPS lols.
We can only hope.
I think the point is though if that you're not enjoying a control option within 10 minutes, then you probably won't at all.
I'm not talking about skill level, learning how to use it effectively etc, as obviously that all comes with time.
There's a difference between learning how to use something and ENJOYING how to use something, and in the gaming world, learning how to use a control option shouldn't be a chore.
Also, wil...
Steamworks =/= Steam.
Thought the distinction was made clear months ago.
Lol, i'm not going to mention KZ3 anymore. I just lost a bubble for trolling when all I did was say I enjoyed his KZ3 review.
Ah Yahtzee, I say it almost every week, but you've out done yourself again. Funnily enough this is the most comments i've seen on one of his reviews on N4G for a long time, not exactly surprising though.
Wow, just read through that whole thread over on the hitmanforums, what a fucking slog that was.
IO haven't got a clue when it comes to planning an ARG out. The community has pretty much been pretty much hand held the whole through the campaign, thanks to what seems to be less than effective planning on IO's behalf.
The next few days will be interesting though.
Completely agree.
Lol, I missed the sarcasm indicator there.
@ Wal-Phed
But the problem is it's a blanket ruling. If they get his entire records from a certain date onwards, how are they supposed to discern between the two? The same goes for the obtaining of ip's.
You can not conclude without a doubt from either piece of "evidence" that those who checked out his site or donated money are supporting an illegal operation.
