I was saying that for the good devs, like Rockstar, exclusivity or lack of it has no bearing on how their games turn out.
If a game is good, it will be good regardless, and one platform won't have an effect on another platform. If a game is bad, it being an exclusive won't save it from that.

You probably could run Portal 2 comfortably on that though, easily as well as the PS3 does. The source engine hasn't been demanding for a long time.
Having said that, gaming on a laptop can be quite uncomfortable.

BF3 will be released on Steam on PC without a doubt. How that will now effect the PS3 version is anyones guess though.
You don't get a free copy of the game - you get the same game tied to the same Steam account capable of being played across three platforms.

DOMination - you won't be able to trade it in (unless you deactivate it somehow, which would delete the games from your PC/MAC Steam Games Lists anyway).
With your PSN being tied to your pre-existing Steam account (or a new one if you prefer), Valve has done the sneaky by basically shutting down the ability to trade-in this game on PS3.

I think it's more that Valve realised that what they wanted to do with Ep3 was just too big to fit inside an episode, so they're doing a full game release and taking their time with it, which could be coinciding with a new engine.
