I more meant I was still hoping for a not too long after April release.

As far as it clashing with other games - doesn't really bother me since this is one of my most anticipated games of the year and i've already pre-ordered the augmented edition, so it was always going to be a day one playthrough for me.

I think you'll find that's exactly why AMD are pushing eyefinity, and nvidia pushing 3d, so hard atm.

I definitely agree though - i've got a pair of dual 6870's atm and originally grabbed them as placeholders until the 6990's came out, but I really don't see any reason at all to upgrade atm, as there isn't much out there that pushes my current cards.

Am I the only one surprised by that pricing? Seems unusually steep for an AMD card...

August?

You bastards.

Check there as a starting point dude, could try searching the steam forums for more info and the original threads. They were fairly epic.

You should check out the entire lead up to the Portal 2 announcement. Was fucking brilliant work by Valve, some of the more original work i've seen in a long time.

What a moron.

Shadow of The Colossus isn't underrated or forgotten at all.

You know it's a slow news day when the top story is "PS3 game looks better than PS2 game".

Thanks for the scoop.

Hide it on the game disc and then pretend it's new a week after release?

No, it's impossible, because no two bits of hardware are exactly the same, therefore the digital signature of the hardware changes, which changes the digital signature of the entire system, which is what this sort of protection is based off.

You can have two perfectly matched systems, but their digital signatures would be completely different.

Wow.

It's impossible to have the exact same rig.

Having said that, this sort of protection has been easily spoofed in the past, so will see how it goes.

I wouldn't mind seeing someone having another go at Alpha Protocol - it wasn't a terrible game, just flawed in too many ways to be that good, but some of the elements were really well thought out, just poorly executed.

Agreed.

I just hope they're not planning on a xmas this year release, my wallet is getting hit enough at that time as it is lol.

Interesting that he doesn't say GTAV, just the "next GTA".

@ below - Or it's not GTAV at all.

Cool sounding feature, although only idiots lose their accounts in the first place imo.

Don't mean to come off fanboyish, but this is one of the major advantages that PC gaming has over consoles. I would love to see more console games get decent mod and map making tools, but tbh even with what's happening atm, I think we're a long way from the point where it becomes anywhere near as big as the PC mod scene.

I must say i'm pretty surprised by this.

Homefront looks somewhat interesting, but I would of thought a lot of people were waiting for the release to see how it goes before shelling out their money, especially this year.

I would of thought DoW II would be at the top of their list tbh.

Agree with you for the most part, although it looks like BF3 could be a fairly significant leap in terms of looks.
