Agreed. Sony are wasting their time, even if the win the code will still be out there. The only thing this will do is allow them to do whatever they want to people they catch running the code, which isn't really a good thing.
Holy shit, the audio quality managed to get worse again. Did not think that was possible.
OT - Lono, while I don't agree with his opinion on the game, makes a much more compelling argument, and puts it forward in a much more professional way. HHG's compulsion to argue every single point even when his side of the argument is terribly weak, really destroys any credibility his other points have for me.
And it's even worse when he can't understan...
There is so much brilliant stuff out there for the PC version man, so easily moddable.
Fate Of Atlantis > All.
Epic fucking win.
Been thinking about modding a guitar i've got sitting around the same way.....though not for Rock Band purposes lol.
That's hilarious.
I haven't seen one analogy in this entire discussion that comes close to fitting in with what is happening (not having a go at you personally linko). This is very unique situation - I think trying to compare it to anything else is a waste of time.
The uniqueness is what makes this so interesting - personally, even though I own a PS3, i'm not too emotionally invested in what happens, although tbh in general i'm a fan of most things that "loosen the leash"...
The longer it gets delayed, the less i'm looking forward to it.
If it actually gets to court it will be very interesting to watch. Personally i'm not sure Sony can win with this, even with the amount of money they'll throw at the case - you can guarantee that Geohot will have a decent lawyer on his side of the room.
Sony will do all they can to make the case almost solely about piracy, while the other side will do everything they can to get the emphasis away from piracy. Is going to be really interesting both from an entertainment...
You should be happy that they're willing to give you anything.
What an amazingly ignorant article. While I don't particularly support buying games and then returning them, at least that way the dev's/publishers get some money from sales. If enough people did this, the games industry would very quickly go bust. What a dickhead.
Is more likely a software issue. The hardware itself is fine, I think it comes down to laziness on the part of the devs so far.
edit - I stand corrected by Crankitup.
Boosters are sad, but does it effect me at all? No, and I don't see how it effects anyone else. I honestly couldn't care less, and find it sad that this "Booster Buster" takes it so seriously.
I think most people main concern with boosting is that it ruins their enjoyment of the game, which is fair enough if you feel that way. But if the boosters are playing in their own lobby by themselves I don't see how that's a problem.
They...
Very cool stuff. I hadn't seen the UAV or mini-car ones.
Episode 3 goddammit! If L4D3 or something like that gets announced this year i'm going to do something to Gabe's breakfast cake.
Bioware = studio of the year for 2011? Three massive games launching in a calendar year is pretty amazing. ToR could be a let down, but the other two are sure to be huge releases.
..........
There's a rating system there for a reason.
The Razer Hydra looks very, very cool. Not sure if I like there being exclusive content solely for the controller, but i'll probably pick it up anyway.
"...that's like saying once i buy this painting i can copy it alter it an change it an give it away as much as i want!"
I see what you're saying but comparing a physical artifact to digital code is a terrible comparison. If you want to break it down, the paining in this case would be the PS3, and the thoughts and processes that went into creating the painting would be the code that Geo is distributing. Even that isn't a perfect analogy, but it's clos...
