You can see in the slow mo there's no real connection with the cat.
The only time game prices are kept high is when the publisher wants them kept high. Valve doesn't really set the prices for most of the big name stuff on Steam - this was shown with the CoD4 saga, and there are still countless examples of this.
The only thing that annoys me about Steam is the region restrictions, but this is something that Valve have no control over and is easily circumvented in any case.

Agree with CoD4, not the other two though. Killzone felt fairly generic but looked good (for a console), and Crysis was fun for a while but was more a tech demo to me than anything else.
I think this year is going to be great for FPS gamers though, I think RAGE is really going to rejuvenate the genre.

Digital downloading has done nothing to replace real artists, or real music, in any way. Hate to tell you this, but there was terrible music in ALL era's of music, and if you want to put a real marker on where the industry started to lose it's way, you start at the rise of MTV.
