Physical media will never become obsolete - but in the coming years you will definitely see DD taking the lions share of sales. You just have to look at the music industry to see the direction we're heading in.
I'm all for DD for PC, not sure if it's really viable on consoles yet. I love having the choice though - I weigh up release times, price etc and pick the best option. With GTA IV it was getting it from a store, with ME2 it was getting it from Steam.
They would, if they could do it while still guaranteeing that the next CoD installment would sell well on the PS3.
If they were ever actually thinking about it, that's the only thing that would stop them imo.
"However, there is the possibility that Microsoft could be paying off Activision to shut down the PS3 servers so that the Xbox 360 can dominate the Call of Duty market."
Lol no.
Is a shame only 4 people got this.
Ah, forgot about that. Am happy I didn't bother getting it, those glasses look like they've been photoshopped in.
What's with Thane's glasses?

The spot on his forehead looks way darker as well.....
Because there's no indication that you can download full games through the PS3 version of Steam. Sort of throws a spanner in the works don't you think?
Am assuming that you won't actually be able to (at least initially) download full games from Steam on the PS3, as the Valve servers already get overloaded when new games are released.
If this is true, then I doubt Valve would be happy to send each person who buys P2 on PC a PS3 disc copy of the game lol.
It's pretty much all speculation at this point, but I personally believe that Valve would have to substantially update their infrastructure to suppo...
I doubt it will work that way.....
As far as I can tell, both copies will be tied to the same account, which means no.
Dude, it's the Source engine.
GT5 intro music was amazing.
Agreed, all those old Star Wars games (including the Dark Forces/Jedi Knight series) were brilliant.

I'd pay for a russian wife if she brought a copy of this game with her.
Holy shit.
And they can call it Heavy Rain!
Is a shame this never gets as much coverage as it deserves. Some brilliant games have come out of these shows.
I know it does - what i'm saying though is that it's supposed to be running on a new engine, and therefore you would think there would be an improvement over the PC version of ME2.
As I said, it's seeming like more of a marketing ploy than anything else.
I enjoyed. Favourite quote from article -
"Don't be shocked if they point out your game seems made up of three colors (brown, gray, and muzzle flash)."
You are aware that services like Steam actually benefit the games industry, and people like yourself don't?
