they're stating the obvious. 720p and 1080i are the "sweet spot" in the hdtv market. you mean to tell me you believe that there are more 1080p tvs in homes than 720p/1080i? of course not. to this day 720p/1080i tvs are outselling 1080p models by a significant margin. it is the "sweet spot" for people who are producing high definition content. quit being a fanboy and fighting sony's battle.
well 360 is getting oblivion patched with the new graphical upgrades anyway. it's a nonissue.
people say games are "sold half complete" or "rushed" now that downloadable patches are the norm. that is just stupid. no game is ever, ever done. ask kojima is there was stuff he wanted in mgs 2 that didn't make it, or bugs that made it out he would've fixed, and i guarantee you he'll say yes. it would be insanely arrogant not to. so.. developers find a way...
wow, i knew the public's opinion of the ps3 was low but wow. that is insane. 44% said they didn't want it at all, regardless of price or anything else (atleast that's how i read it). i wonder how much more concrete evidence like this it will take before sony fanboys accept the fact that noone else wants their big black box.
it's bad when you release patches that make my 360 freeze then don't own up to the problem after tons of people report the problem on epic's forum.

ummm.... yeah. half life 2 was revolutionary. amazing in every way. graphics, cinematics, gameplay, multiplayer. resistance is a good game. not great. nothing half life 2 didn't do way better a long time ago, except graphics but that's obvious. i don't think anyone would argue that resistance even holds a candle to what half life 2 was when it came out.
that looks almost as good as gears of war as far as geometry goes. the textures are rough but it's early on so that's to be expected. seems like every xbox 360 game coming out this year looks close to or just as good as gears of war. this year is going be awesome.
that's insane. do you seriously think microsoft (or bungie) is going to let this game ship looking anything like it does in the screens we have now? the brute documentary was alpha build in game footage. the finished project will blow minds, without a doubt. microsoft and bungie both know it has to, and have the money to make sure it does.

the original xbox's software library did comprise mostly of shooters, and this did certainly play a part in sony's domination last generation. however, microsoft has definitely taken note of this, and aren't making the same mistake this time around. oblivion, lost odyssey, blue dragon, eternal sonata, etc. x360 will have it's rpgs.

frankly i don't really give a damn how microsoft does in japan. i don't live in japan or own microsoft stock. i also happen to despise "japanese" style video games. spiky haired kid saving the world from impending doom, cooking simulators, dating games, not my style. i prefer western style shooters and racing/sports games. that is the only reason i prefer x360 over ps3. well that and live, but that's a given. then again i am american, so it only makes sense....
