audiophiles are stupid. no financially responsible person would spend $1000 on audio cables. a hobby is a hobby, but that's just ridiculous.
well, if they're lying about not re-releasing the trailer i wonder if they would lie about exclusivity? wouldn't put it past them now...
i picked this game up a couple days ago and i must say, this is realistic to the point that it borders on creepy. i love it. you can tell the difference between an irs or solid axle mustang just by driving. seriously. i don't know about anyone else, but when i'm racing i don't have time to appreciate the scenery anyway, so graphics don't mean much to me in this regard. it is, without a doubt, the best racing game in history. add xbl tournaments and it's game over for the competition.
i would buy it if the first game that came out using it included the peripheral. and, of course, if that game made good use of it. personally, i haven't seen anything on ps3 (the closest comparison) that makes good enough use of motion sensing to warrant a purchase, though.
not unless people start buying the console to entice developers to make them. i honestly don't think sony (or microsoft for that matter) will have ANY 3rd party exclusives this round. it just doesn't make financial sense for publishers. without big 3rd party exclusives (and no, ff and mgs aren't enough), the ps3 is just a more-expensive 360 with a movie player noone wants.
well i really don't know exactly what the point is.. but it looks pretty stupid to me. not too much action going on.
they look pretty much the same to me. certainly not different enough to be able to tell when you have bullets flying over your head.
what does that link have to do with the story?
off topic question: what is the "manchester united" logo in your profile for? i live in orlando, fl and i always see british tourists wearing weird shirts with that logo on them. it's funny, you can tell a brit tourist from a mile away by the weird shirt and daisy dukes. it's quite funny. serious question though....
they really need to change it up this round. one and two were great, but the formula is getting a little tired.
GTHD could look absolutely photorealistic (as it nearly does) and it wouldn't matter at all. not only is it a racing game, hence high speeds and the inability to tell whats passing by you anyway, but also all suspension of disbelief is shattered the first time you hit a wall and bounce off.
it's not just a good idea.. it's a necessity. i've worked in video production for years and i can't count how many times i've lost IRREPLACABLE video content from using a windows crashbox. one bad e-mail (with a virus) and your reputation, and your income, are gone. that's not something i'd risk on something that is about as reliable as a '73 yugo. go mac, you won't go back.
envy? for what? what exactly does ps home do? let you walk around in a relatively crude 3d environment and type messages to people using a console controller. wow, i'd hate to miss out on that. oh wait, i don't have to, i have a computer and second life, which does all of the above better, faster, and easier. leave it to sonybots to praise yet another ripped off, barely functional idea from sony.
maybe they were referring to online functionality? or maybe the rsx couldn't hack it? who knows... all that's for sure is that, yes, cell is faster than xenon. but, as ps2 proved, the power of the cpu doesn't mean jack when it comes to making good games.
dude, it's a website. you can do the same thing faster and easier with a computer. thanks for being a fanboy though.
...i do that too lol
he's just a fanboy trying to spin a story. get used to it on here ;)
your server also isnt pushing 500+million flops constantly either. and, most servers are huge boxes, with lots of air and ventilation, and (if it's fast enough) liquid. your server probably runs no more than 10%dc 99% of the time (assuming it's just a media or small web server).
now, put twice the amount of power in something half the size, take away the liquid and run it 5 times as hard. you get my point.
yeah... i agree with the panther. i know the ps3 is a tough machine, and probably very robust, but doing intense calculation 24/7, on top of playing games in between, would be rough for any computer to do. ps3 is basically an air cooled gaming rig that is very efficient, so imagine if you had a really fast air cooled computer and did that. it will definitely not like running full bore for a long period of time.
sure you can, but it doesn't come with one, so noone does.
