Cracking satire, good on em
I'm hoping my work will pay for me to go to this...we'll see
Good to hear the system is being updated regularly
we've already seen this info ages ago, it is nothing new
Massive games take a massive amount of time to make, and don't neccessarily offer a better gameplay experience. Bigger textures may look very pretty, but they also have to put a lot of work into making the gameplay more immersive otherwise its just a waste of space.
I wasn't really interested in Halo 3, I was thinking "i'll probably get it next year, when I run out of other games" as I have never been a huge fan of the series...
HOWEVER, 4 player co-op is a stroke of genius by Bungie, it really turns this game into something different and special on the 360, and I have now pre-ordered it.
This is getting very boring, a Metal gear title will make its way to 360 in 2008 whether its MG4 or MGO or whatever it is going to happen at some point and these neverending debates are not getting anywhere.
I think this game will be good, but it won't live up to the crazy over the top hype surrounding it, not many games could.
tis a pity no UK retailers are offering similar deals
I don't own a PS3 but this game did look very promising, I'll be waiting for the CVG review.
That sir is actually a very good idea, have a bubble
Limitations of disc and memory size are not a new problem, they've existed since the spectrum and commodore days, developers have always had to cut back features they would have liked to impliment because of this, and generally they make a good job of deciding what is important to the game or not.
Obviously this extra content didn't warrant having a second disc, as the developers seem to have decided it wasn't important enough - if they had decided it was important to the game ...
PC gaming is too expensive at the moment, I decided against upgrading recently because I was sick to death of the cash I was spending, and I plumped for a 360 instead (which I got with 4 games and an extra controller for cheaper than the 8800 GFX card!).
It was only a matter of time before they considered porting this to the consoles, and I do hope Crytek are doing the ports themselves this time, as the Far Cry ports Ubisoft did were ghastly.
Watch the walkthrough videos on gametrailers.com if they don't make you want to buy it, I dont know what will! The game will probably come to the PS3 down the line though.
LOL indeed, I have had mine pre-ordered for 6 months now!
It certainly is a fair mag, I've seen it give games all the ratings from 1 to 10, they wouldn't have any readers at all, if their reviews were that biased.
It is an exclusive for 360, but I don't think this will be forever, perhaps 6 months later we'll see announcements about the PS3 version.
oh please...! Its people like you who start these silly fanboy debates.
Bioshock and Mass Effect were the reason I jumped onto the 360 ship two months ago - despite being a PC gamer at heart I wanted this to play on console, because I was getting tired of the constant upgrading on my PC. This isn't a fast paced traditional shooter so I felt it would still play great on the 360.
Its pleasing to see the game made by Ken Levine (who did one of the best PC games EVER in System Shock 2) get such a good reception, and it only validates further my purchase of th...
