Sony knew the preorder numbers and the shipment numbers. They also knew that basically EVERYBODY had to download the day One patch for the PS4.
(Yeah, it is not required and basic functions work, but EVERY Early adopter will do this anyway!)
So yeah, this is not acceptable IMO. Let's see if MS can do better than that.
Looking forward to the game, but the teaser was lame.
CoD was never a visually stunning game on any system.
There are games on both platforms at launch that look better and have higher resolution.
Why do you make such a big deal out of this?

The article says MS hides Xbox losses behind Android patent royalties.
In the year before Android was on the market, MS reported a 500 million USD profit for the EDD (Xbox divison). You get the idea.
Dead Rising 3, Ryse, CoD Ghosts and Fifa 14 will be my launch games to play.
2014 will be all about Titanfall, Quantum Break and Halo 5.
And I have a feeling that D4 might be a game that could surprise a lot of people. Good times ahead.
So you think PS3 and Xbox 360 will sell more in the next 2 years than they sell now and the Wii won't sell one single console in the next 2 years.
That is needed for your scenario. I agree with the Software-support, but saleswise the Wii dominated Xbox 360 and PS3.
And if you care about profits, it is getting even more obvious.
Not trying to flame, but: Sony just confirmed (NOT ME, DON'T SHOOT THE MESSENGER!) that the PS3 has not outsold the Xbox 360... yet.
We argued for over 7 / 8 years and the Xbox 360 and PS3 cross the finish line head to head, one week before PS4 / Xbox One launch.
Can't wait to argue another 7 years with you guys!

A studio like Infinity Ward has to make the game for Xbox 360 / PS3 / Wii U / Xbox One / PS4 / PC ... and not one of these platforms is pushed to the limits, especially this early in a generation.
There is NO time to create a game and optimise this for 6 different platforms in 2 years... as a result the PS4 version seems to have framerate issues and the Xbox One version has a lower res. This does NOT indicate anything for both consoles. They will ...
All the talk about the resolution is sooo stupid.
- CoD was never a game with breathtaking visuals. NEVER!
- Bayonetta runs at 1080p on Wii U and it still is not on par with PS4 / Xbox One launch titles.
- Kinect Sports runs at 1080p and looks not as stunning as Ryse at 900p.
- The Last of Us made every PS Fan smile and it was 720p / 30 FPS. Now 720p upscaled to 1080p and 60 FPS is way too bad.

$20 for 4 DLCs seems reasonable to me.
Of course, it depends on the sort of DLC...
- No MP3s
- No CDs
- No DLNA
- No external HDD
- every disc based game has a mandatory install
- Patch needed to play BluRays and DVDs
- Vita remote only works at home
- 300MB Day One Patch
- Only 4 controllers
- No custom wallpapers
- PS3 peripherals (PS3 controller, remote, etc) don't work with PS4
- No uploads on youtube
N4G: Xbox One was rushed, because Sony caught them off-guard....
Of course not made by gaming! But overall MS crashes Sony easily. And even the EDD (Xbox division) if you compare it with the Playstation division for the past 5 years.
You should read the financial reports. Windows OS is NOT their main source of profit. Actually it is on no. 3 behind office and server + tools.
