The engine for this game on the pc was rubbish.
A 4830 should be able to kill this game, but the code is sooo bad it's just not possible.
It's a good change for the system. This type of game looks like it will work really well on the system.
Now let's just see if it sells.
Huge bang for your buck.
I'm guessing it's because they are releasing the new Metroid other M sometime soon.
Playing this on pc can cure almost everything you mentioned there.
That's why I'll be giving it a shot.
I found the 360 demo to be pretty cool though.
I'm right behind you on that one.
Nothing revolutionary, but DX11 is very nice.
I do like the fact that the system is very stable, and uses less ram. This is very good for Pc gamers. If you have an unstable os, you will have a terrible experience gaming.
Am ready for a new console. All the current consoles feel dated to me, but that's just me.
I think it's good they are supporting it longer, as it keeps costs down and it also brings in more profit for the company to use on the next console. But I would still like to see a new one within 2 years.
I would like to see developers do more creative things, and I'm sure they would like to do more creative things. However, it's simply too risky right now to go in that direction.
A big game flop can bring down an entire studio. Sad but true right now.
And I didn't think it was that bad. The on ground controls could use some work, but the inflight stuff was pretty fun.
Probably a rental for me.
I own them all, but the only one I wouldn't give up is my pc.
Why? Because it's MY pc. I built it. It's to my specifications. If I want to game at my desk with my mouse and keyboard, sure. If I want to play on my tv with my 360 controller, all day long. If I want to run a game on one display and chat with my friends on the other I can do that too. I can even mod my games. Copy saves.etc.
That's why I like it. It's the platform of options, and expression. Not to mention killer v...
Very well written. I'm glad to be seeing more pc articles on N4G lately.
So not everything they do makes them money, they've had some flops but overall they always do find a way to make a profit. Be it gaming division , or multimedia devices they've always came out on top. Maybe not per device but it's the big picture that matters.
Even after the RROD, original Zune and Vista fiascos they found a way to become profitable in the end.
Although I doubt I'll pick up the Natal, I'm sure a bunch of people will.
Pc demo coming?
I'll try the 360 version as well but I'm more interested in the pc version.
Microsoft isn't exactly new at this. They know what they're doing and they have a plan. They're not known for loosing money.
I'd forgotten about Mafia 2.
From a tech point of view, it would be totally possible to just allow the natal device to do all the calculations and just send the data along to the 360. Why not do that? Price probably...as cpu's are pricey.
I honestly don't think this will be a problem though. Even an old Athlon Dual core doesn't use 100% cpu in modern games, so I don't think the 360's tripple core will show much hit. It will just demand more efficient programming. I don't see the real big blockbusters using...
Can't wait for Splinter Cell, MoH and Mass Effect. I hope we see some DX11 support.
Could be a good pick up.
I love puzzle oriented games.
Drop 200 bucks into any existing modern computer and you can be gaming at better settings the the consoles can push.
Note the "modern" in there.
Core2duo or higher.
Why would you play the 360 if you have a good pc right there...?
