I can’t believe there is a Stadia fanboy already. That must be one lonely island.
This website keeps writing articles (But should it?)
@funandgun
Nice troll but you’ve missed the point entirely or are being ignorant on purpose
@tiqila
Not the same, it’s a shared universe not a single player experience. That would be like calling Rust a strand game. It’s not at all the same.
This article is so stupid. I can’t believe I read it.
Okay, elements of “strand games” have been done before. Most of the examples this writer gives are not examples of what Kojima is calling “strand games”.
The closest to what Death Stranding is doing is the Dark Souls/Bloodborne/Shikero where you can leave a note to warn players about a boss or some strategy going forward and those notes can receive likes which I believe can give that user health or som...
It’s just more money for Sony at the end of the day and doesn’t affect the console market by putting it on PC. If it’s more money to invest in these kinds of games then put it on PC, I’m all for it. Likely with Heavy Rain, Beyond Two Souls, and Detroit which Sony absolutely owns those IPs on PC Sony will be getting a significant cut of those sales as well.
You won’t ever see any of these games or Death Stranding on other consoles, not until it’s a non factor in console sal...
Actually you’re wrong a little bit on the point that Kojima can publish wherever he wants.
This is a second party game as it was funded by Sony and is being published by Sony on PS4. Sony may not own the IP but Kojima would still need permission from Sony to publish the game anywhere else. Sony has likely given Kojima that permission to publish to PC through 505 and Sony will surely be getting a cut because it’s their engine plus they funded the game. Everything else you’re...
The problem I see for Sony is we have the PS5 in the fall 2020, this is now releasing in May. We still have one more big exclusive which is Ghosts of Thushima pardon the spelling. Now your gap closes on this game because you don’t want to release to close to either LoUP2 or the PS5. Both these big exclusives are meant to push the last PS4s out and now you’re really limiting that or GoT gets pushed to a PS5 release.
This article is about 6 years too late.
@Mithan
Ha!
I’ll take Last of Us Remastered, Uncharted 4, UC Lost Legacy, Shadow of the Colossus, God of War, Spider-Man, Detroit, Bloodborn, Last of Us Part 2, Ghosts of Thushima, Nioh, Death Stranding, Until Dawn, Horizon Zero Dawn
Over Gears 5, Ashen, Sea of Theives (reason I bought a 1X), Halo MCC/5, Forza series, Ori and the Blind Forest (really want to ply this) Sunset overdrive
When it comes to best vs best Son...
@Tom
Pretty sure in my first comment I said Sony has delivered on high end exclusives, but you know keep reading through your fanboy rage goggles .
@Teflon
I completely agree. I’m going with PS5 day one and I have no interest in the next Xbox. I owned an 1X for 2 weeks before I sold it off. I actually work for Sony just not in gaming.
Which was kind of my point in the beginning. Sony did well without exclusives because we all knew the great exclusives were coming. Xbox has more exclusives early in this gen and it didn’t help push consoles.
So exclusives at launch of next gen won’t ...
Your question wasn’t simple. It was an underhanded jab dismissing Xbox and insinuating I’m an Xbox fanboy.
Every post you’ve made in this thread reeks of Sony fanboyism and it’s pretty lame. And if you felt insulted by being called a fanboy then I don’t know what to tell you. Maybe stop with the BS.
@Wood look at his comment above yours. He says they’re non existent. My post in no way indicated Xbox had a better start. My point was exclusives didn’t matte...
@Silver
Remove your head from your own ass. I got a PS4 day one and didn’t get an XBox One. You’re asking me to go back years and remember everything. PlayStation exclusives didn’t really start dropping until farther in the life cycle and had a ton of indie support to get them through the first year. Sure we had Killzone shadow fall and knack. But I remember seeing Xbox exclusives more frequently early on, Ryse, Sunset Overdrive, halo MCC and there are way more. I’m not sug...
Xbox one had more exclusives at launch than PS4 did but PS4 has the better price. It’s not so cut and dry, but the difference going into this generation is Sony has delivered on high end exclusives where Microsoft has been hit and miss and more miss that hit.
With BC on both systems I don’t think exclusives right away will matter but showing what’s coming down the line will.
@RealTed
Funny how the best game on a competitors console is a cinematic 3rd person linear shooter with some open world like Uncharted 4.
Guess those types of games do alright huh?
I’d love to see if Twisted Metal could be made into a VR game. That’s be pretty cool.
Let’s just ignore that they came out and said they were working on a Factions MP but that the game will ship as SP only with the MP coming later. Idiot.
Yes it’s BC but does that mean a portted version and an older version run the same? No! By porting and making a PS5 version they can change the code so the game can take better advantage of the hardware. It’s not rocket science.
Xbox controllers rumble they don’t do haptic feedback, they only have haptic feedback in the triggers. Nice try though.
This same thing happened before the start of the PS4/Xbox1 gen. Sony stayed quiet, didn’t say much of anything and Microsoft talked and talked and everything was about the power of the box and the cloud and every article was about Microsoft and how much they were puffing out their chest and peacocking. Then reality hit and Sony came out more powerful and cheaper. It feels like history is repeating itself, sort of. Microsoft is clearly in a better position than last time and has better leaders...
