I didn’t see articles or people crying about “Console Launch Exclusive” from the XBox Event or am I missing something?
Sony buying into Epic goes beyond games. It infiltrates movies and TV now with studios turning to Unreal Engine to create backdrops and special effects. It makes it no or super low cost for Sony entertainment studios to use and allows Sony to grab revenue off of others.
In terms of games it allows Sony to grab some of the pie of digital sales from Fortnite, Rocket League and whatever else. Sure it’s a super small percent, but it’s a small percent of a grossly massive pie.

Honestly the problem with the show wasn’t the show itself. The show in a vacuum is completely fine. The problem I have and what my problem has almost always been is Phil and company. They talk far to much and for the hardcore and the people who follow gaming, they create these massive expectations and just never deliver. Ummmm, Stalker 2, The Medium, State of Decay 3, Avowed, Fable, Ever Wild are all 2 years or more away. None of those are launch games. Why? Watch the event again, when Halo shows the XBox one and XSX tags all those other games only show the XSX and PC tag. According to Phil Spencer XSX won’t have exclusives for the first 2 years. Sooooo other than Halo, Grounded and Psychonauts 2 (which all look super fun btw) what the hell is coming at launch that actually is a good reason to pick up an XSX....
Here’s something I haven’t seen mentioned. Phil came out and said 2 things, this is the best launch line up of an console ever and second that there are no XSX exclusives for the first 2 years.
They started the show with Halo which looks super fun to me but when they showed the title at the end it had a tag at the bottom (XBox One, XBox Series X, PC)

Games need to go up in price.
Something happens with money called inflation. If you pull up an inflation calculator and put in $60 in 2006 (when games were made $60) that would be worth $71 today. If you keep wanting to get full AAA games like we’ve been use too, then games need to go up. Not all games of course but this $10 is just keeping up with the cost of inflation. Games are costing more and more and likely production costs will hit new levels going into next gen.

This already happens on PS4. The game is fully installed from the disk and the disk acts as a key or you could install a game on multiple consoles.
Digital or disk it doesn’t matter because it takes the exact same amount of space. How do people not know this?
Sony has actually been drip feeding information since CES with tech websites and every time they did they dominated headlines over XBox. Nice try though. PlayStation just has more interest all around.
