Ok so I don't need PS Plus to play ESO, but if I have PS Plus can I get some kind of discount on the monthly sub? $9.99?
I have been an EVE player for the last 5 years. I have taken a break since I got my PS4 and had to start a new job, but reading this really makes me want to log in again.
Although I would never take part in this kind of battle, I now miss the tears of ganking people in wormhole space.

I cannot wait to play Outlast. Very few games actually scare me these days, last one was Dead Space 2.
However when I watched the video that IGN did about all their reactions, just watching the gameplay I jumped numerous times. Can't wait to play with the lights out and surround sound going.

I wouldn't say the glory days are back. Not by a mile. Nintendo's first party may be at a high level but they've only just started getting games to their current system. They had a year head start and just couldn't capitalize.
Third party support is non-existent when compared to the SNES & N64 days. The days in which Nintendo was relevant has long passed and they only have themselves to blame.

I just picked up Knack a few days ago as I got it as a prize from work. Although I wouldn't call it next-gen it is actually quite fun and challenging.
I would say Knack is a show case game. Really shows a lot of particle effects and lighting effects.
What impressed me the most about Knack is the surround sound DTS coding. Impressive sound immersion, best I've experienced on the PS4 yet.

A few yes! Tomb Raider is 1080p on both systems, difference is 60 fps vs 30 fps.
The question is can X1 run 1080p at 60 fps? I don't think it's happened yet. I'm hoping they can achieve it and I'm sure it will happen down the road.
MS needs to clean up the OS and make it consume less resources and then I've sure X1 will hit that benchmark.

I saw 5 reason I need too that PS3 had free and 77 services behind a paywall that are free on any other device. More like 82 reason to blow my money.
And before you fanboys get on me I have both next gen consoles but I only use my X1 for SP games. Titanfall may change that but I'm not sure yet.
Looks like the supply has caught up to the demand for the X1. Be interesting to see when that happens for PS4.
I have my feet planted in both camps, but this article is just shameful. Totally biased and left a lot out on both sides. Think X1 has the stronger line up now and near future. PS4 the stronger line up over the course of 2014. Still a lot to be announced for both sides so that may very well change.
If Outlast is dropping in Feb I better go get myself some new boxers. Have a feeling my current ones will be getting spoiled.

I think you misunderstand me.
PS4/XB1 can easily still be considered next gen while PS3/X360 can still be called current gen.
The numbers I'm throwing out are not actual fact it's just to give an example.
Say your current player base on PS4/X1 sits around 15% and PS3/X360 sits at 85% then PS4/X1 are still seen as next gen as the majority have not made that transition.
At about a year if it sits ...
When the majority of a player base is on system that remains the current gen with newer hardware still being next gen until a higher % of that player base has moved over.
What does the game being published by Sony have to do with anything?
They could easily work out a deal that if you have + you get a lower monthly sub. Gets more people playing ESO on PS4.
You could even do something like have your first 30 days free with plus then a 9.99 monthly sub.
Get more people on plus and ESO for PS4.
