If you're comparing the Battlefield campaign to the Witcher 3 campaign you're kinda playing BF wrong. You know that there's multiplayer on there right?
The story of the base game was hardly bad...
You played many other better story-driven RPGs in the last couple of years on PS4? I think the characters and writing are some of the best I've ever experienced, especially when you consider the colloquial language they use and the majority of the team aren't English.
I spent the first 10 hours of so of the 'expansion' playing the base game, getting myself equipment to fight that Toad!
Use that Yrden trap...that thing is a nightmare without!

Obviously each to their own. What I'm trying to say is that prior to playing them, I was very much sold on Siege and cautious of Battlefront. But I don't hear many people at all saying they were satisfied after playing the beta of Siege. The concept is great, and the gunplay is fine, it's just the pacing of it that feels off.
Battlefront was immediately fun though, straight out of the box.

Did you actually play both games? Me and a whole bunch of other people did...Battlefront was good, Siege was poorly paced and unexciting.
A stable 30 FPS is absolutely fine for most games. Twitchy shooters certainly benefit from 60 but obviously there's quite a bit of graphical sacrifice.
I like what ND are doing with Uncharted 4 - 30FPS to maximize graphics on the single player (and boy, are those looking maximal!) and 60FPS for multi to ensure a smooth experience.
Any one who didn't play the beta might actually buy this. I was HYPED for this game, but having played the beta, this isn't going to go well.
Battlefront on the other hand showed surprising quality and apparently won't have microtransactions. Just a $50 season pass of undisclosed content.
Weakened by the piss poor atmosphere, non-existent characterisation and bland writing / voice acting. Quite surprising after Halo, which didn't really suffer from these things, despite not being best-in-field, they gave it a good go and it wasn't shocking.

Think the Witcher is my fave so far, getting back on there for the DLC reminded me of the high quality...everything.
But Bethesda are going to come out junkjet blazing - a good year for gaming on the whole!

I'm amazed people still gave this series a chance. Very little has changed in the last few years. This is going to be the first ASS game I miss, not only because of the debacle of Unity, but the complete omission of multiplayer.
The attack / defend in this series was very innovative and they kept it fun all the way through the black flag. Taking this out doesn't look to have improved the campaign if reviews are anything to go by so they've essentially removed all ...
