3 big players?
If you mean Nintendo, I'm not sure they're a big player in this generation. If you hadn't noticed, the Wii U didn't do all that well. And no, gaming would be worse with 1 player, what a silly remark.
'So it's not possible to have something appeal to you, but you still choose not to purchase it?'. Depends on your financial situation I suppose, I'm sure this can happen.
It's also a shame that of the 2 big players, 1 failed to make a console that appeals to 2/3 of gamers, which is what you're seeing here.
Nothing pay-to-win in there. But yeah, u should learn how to interpret properly with regards to sarcasm. It says you're from the US. Isn't English your first language?
Yes, charge loads. Destiny has been such good value so far, what with £140 for the game + the expansions that I simply must give more money to Bobby.
If people want to pay for this sort of stuff, let them.
@ EDMIX
'Starting to sound like many who write junk like this don't really know what they are talking about.' This rings true, with respect to your own words.
Who is jumping on the bandwagon exactly? Why do you think people are heaping praise on them without having played their games? That's lunacy.
I think they're getting praise for one reason - they're doing things right. Free DLC, no false promises, delivering on an...
A lot of crazy talk going on here...
Have you played FF7?
Destiny followed by COD? I wish I could be entertained by such mind-numbing games.
Good ol' Bobby must love you!
Yeah, the game failed to live up to expectations massively. So it's no surprise that it sold more on that console, as they share that trait in common.
I would estimate that a lot of the people who bought both are the kinds of folk who don't read into their future purchases.
It was extremely slow-paced though. I don't mind something not being a twitch shooter (although those tactics do work on this game), but 5 kills per team, per 5 minutes got boring pretty quick!
Sensible to price it higher on Xbox One.
Or the game simply isn't very good? 6/10 for the only notable game this console has means a lot of people should question their questionable decisions to pick up this console in the first place?
What part of Don Mattrick's schpiel won you guys over?
Well when you've got Microsoft making the big decisions, you can't really expect anything other than a complete disaster.
Agreed. And it's the one thing that Naughty Dog subscribe to that is unacceptable. In TLOU multiplayer, they have lots of abilities and guns that are only available for real cheddar.
I don't mind paying for aesthetic things if that's your bag, but you shouldn't make the game easier for those willing to cough up a few extra bucks.
Halo MCC Collection only got an 8? ONLY?
Maybe you've been living under a rock but the game was completely broken....8 seems pretty generous for something that doesn't work.
TLOU and Halo aren't comparable. But the way the assign review scores should be...if you've played TLOU, you'll know it's one of the best games of recent memory. What I'm getting at is that they're the least credible gaming website in the world and should ...
More like the best game on the system by the sounds of it. The only game that would make me even consider buying this horrific car crash of a console.
Sorry bud but I don't think there are any e-servants around on this site. Do some reading yourself.
Apparently the story is awful so wouldn't worry about spoiling it, it's poor to begin with.
Polygon given this 9/10 is completely irrelevant. They've never given a good review in their lives. If it's a good game from Sony, it'll be panned, if it's a poor game from MS, it's praised.
The Last of Us was 7.5 out of 10 according to Polygon, so apparently Halo 5 smokes that...unlikely somehow.
@ dvewish
You just called Destiny ART. I mean, my God man, are you insane!? There's nothing artistic about Destiny in the slightest, it's got to be one of the most bland games going! Something like Journey could be described as art but Destiny? You need to open your eyes.
The only art being displayed here is the art of extracting money from loyal customers.
It's not hate against Ubisoft. I was thrilled to see them making the next-gen charge a lot sooner than most publishers. But it didn't work out, with Unity, The Crew and Watch Dogs all unerwhelming.
But Assassin's Creed improved massively from the first to the second, but never progressed at all since then. It's quite frustrating that a game with such amazing graphics, mechanics and research never ends up as the 9.5/10 game that it really should. Less than the ...
If they made this into just one game we'd be waiting so so long for this game to come out! People here just don't seem to get this, which is incredible given FFXV was announced about 10 years ago and we still don't have a release date.
Putting it into parts means we get to play it in this generation. If you don't like it, don't buy it. For the rest of us non-haters, I'll be lapping this up for nostalgia rather than making up a conspiracy from nothing.....
