Ok? And for most people, their primary platform of choice will dictate which system they buy their multiplats on, and typically people will choose their primary platform based off the exclusive software they prefer. Power has little to do with that, otherwise tens of millions of people wouldnt have chosen Xbone for the last 4 years. That’s why multiplats aren’t typically mentioned when comparing software.
@ TheOpenWorlder Literally, not once did I mention grammar. The reviews were just poorly written, period. I remember the AV club review because it was literally 2 paragraphs so short that they might as well have just been long sentences. All the reviewer said was that the game was boring and he’d rather play Halo or Gears (seriously, he said that), and gave next to no context as to why he didn’t like the game. The Washington Post review was basically the same thing. I don’t care about grammar...
Depends on your metric. Everyone sees these scores a little different. For me, in school >60 was failing, while 60 - 79 was above failing - average. So a 7.5, to me, suggest the game is just ok. I know not everyone sees it the same way, obviously, but many will see it that way.
Also, why the disagrees? Are there actually a lot of people upset that I’m defending Mario Odyssey? Interesting lol
“Essentially”. How so? What “next gen” hardware is only 20 - 40% more powerful than its direct competition? Are the games going to look different, outside of some ground textures? Nope. Are the games to be fundamentally different? Nope. Is it going to be getting exclusive software that is a next gen leap at all? Nope. Higher resolution and shaper textures do not equal next gen. Future Xbox titles don’t even look nearly as good as some current PS4 titles; X won’t change that.
PS4 Pro + Switch is the best combo you can have this gen. You have access to all the best multiplats on PS4 + Sony’s top tier exclusives, and then Nintendo’s top tier exclusives. Why blow $500 on a X when you can just get a PC for the same price that performs even better and has all the “Xbox exclusives”.
That’s because anyone who has an answer to this question already knows what a X and what it’s capable of. We’ve had a million and one articles already lay out the foundation of information; now it’s up to people to give a simple yes or no as to whether they want one or even care.

Tens of millions of people bought a Xbone/ Xbone S, knowing that they were buying hardware inferior to the competition. Now PS4 users are supposed to suddenly care and go for better hardware?

Nah. I like exclusive games, and I’ll just buy all my multiplats on my Pro.
I really don’t see how Insomniac “jumped ship from MS”. They were never even partially owned by MS, and Sunset Overdrive was the first and only MS exclusive from them. People seem to forget that Insomniac has been making games since the early 90’s, and their 3 biggest franchises have been PS exclusives.
Sony still owns the film rights though. It’s highly likely that when Disney asked to be allowed to use Spider Man in the MCU, Sony struck a deal by asking for video game exclusivity as well. I don’t think anything is timed here; likely permanent.
That’s been my theory. Even after Disney bought Marvel, Sony still owns the rights to Spider-Man, one of Marvel’s most popular characters. I think Sony saw an opportunity here, and it’s great because the new Spider-Man is looking amazing.
It wasn’t the next killer app for Xbox. They haven’t had one since Gears back in 2006. I would say MS is getting desperate, but I dont think they ever cared enough; they just want to keep pushing this GaaS crap while Phil continues to make the fans fall for it. It would be hilarious if Insomniac said f*ck it and went with Sony, and then re-released the first game on PS4. Guaranteed it would be far more successful on PS4.

What an awesome sounding combo. It reminds a lot of Horizon in a way, which is definitely a good thing. Hopefully there’s a strong endgame to it.
It’s not even really a zombie game. The “freakers” are still living human beings, they’ve just become incredibly aggressive; kindof like an animal with rabies. It’s just like TLoU; you’re gonna have those idiots that criticize something by lying and declaring it to be some generic thing they pretend to not like, all because it’s not on their platform of choice.
Look up AV clubs UC3 review or Washington Post’s UC4 review; sometimes certain reviewers wait for the general consensus to be that a game is excellent, then jump in with some poorly written review that even a baboon wouldn’t wipe its ass with it, just to try and draw some attention through controversy.

Cool. Personally, I can’t stand the Xbox controller or it’s tile UI that’s 50% ads if you’re signed into XBL. Out of every console I’ve ever played (including 360 and Xbone), the DS4 is by far the best IMO. Honestly, I prefer the Switch’s square controller to the Xbone’s.
